You are a life saver. What ever they are paying you it's not enough. Most of the gear I own is PreSonus and you make it make sense. Thanks for the help. Great Video!

You are one of the top four people that, I recommend when new users start using Studio One and they want to get a better handle on the DAW and mixing in general. I love the simple straightforward approach never getting too technical while still providing professional results. I'm ever so glad I came to this DAW and your channel.

For vocals I learned from a few pro mixers as in major label mixers, hall reverb on balladish songs plate on rock. I always mix my reverbs on the same track of vocals using hall, room and plate in varying amounts depending on the song, typically on instruments I use one or the other. If you want to get anal adjust your reverb times to the tempo of the track. Don't forget pre delay too, as an example 25ms pre delay on a snare drum allows the initial whack of the snare to be unaffected and it will cut through more, that along with timed to tempo reverb delay so it doesn't step on the next drum hit works great.

I've been really satisfied with how the stock room reverb plugin sits in my mixes.
@johnnyroberts86413 жыл бұрын
Im with ya...select every main instruments channel, drag room reverb to the sends box, then tweak send levels and use a light reverb preset like small studio and blend it in underneath very lightly...for alot of my songs it opens up the mix. Even hard panned guitars are echoing throughout the stereo field, so if only one guitar is playing it doesnt sound disconnected from the mix

I am a sax player and I started learning production earlier this year and I use studio one5 pro. Please can you mix a sax solo so I can see how to go about mine. I play afro because I'm from Nigeria and I would love to mix my sax to sound like the sax I hear in afro beats.
