One of the best random recommendations from KZbin in a long time! Your delivery is wonderful, man. It's charming, humorous, and the cadence is perfect! You have excellent decisions for how you choose to represent little cutscenes as well -- like what you did for "you're naked, on the beach...". Zooming out then snuffing the torch with the wolf howling was such a perfect way to emphasize the point of being alone. I really appreciate the time, effort, and choices you seem to put into your content. You have a personality that I would enjoy watching/listening to irrespective of however you choose to play a wipe! That said, I'm the type of viewer who actually watches every second of long-form content (which is actually my preference). No Stevie movie is too long for me to watch, so I'd love seeing videos of your wipes. I can only imagine the types of scenarios you get into and the people you meet (for better and for worse, lol) being the tea guy on the server. Anyway, I don't mean to roll up in your video just instantly giving you a brojob when we don't know each other, lol. I just wanted to chime in and hopefully encourage you to keep the content going! I have no doubt there's a near-future where you're successfully doing this as a full-time effort if that's what you're going for. =)

Damn Stephen Chapman! It's funny, I was rushing to get this video out (for instance I accidentally added two i's in the sub-heading and it's driving fucking insane every time I see it!) But! I did the voice over before the footage of the "naked alone" transition at 5am after getting two hours of sleep. I spent so much extra unnecessary time on that and every time I see it, I laugh. It's a video on teas and there's just this ominous fearful transition in the middle of it and the tone shift makes me laugh every time. It's so stupid. Glad you caught that as well. Anyhoo... As a person who also outwardly expresses enthusiasm for creators that I appreciate, don't sweat jumping in here and writing. I'm hyped as fuck that you enjoyed it and hope that whatever goofy ass content I come up with in the future is as entertaining. Keep being you and thanks for watching! ☕

Back in my day before there were any videos like yours the only people I could learn tea and farming from were in clans, all heavily guarded by the clan leaders not wanting the tea to get out. This video is the real deal on getting the itch for tea making. Well done.

I like the way you explain it good video. I usually keep a horse around to gather dung for fertilizer that speeds up growth. Growing in either desert or snow biom can benefit bigly because there are little to no plants growing outside these areas, making a farm important.

Here’s something that can change your way of life or thinking. This is the most important thing you will hear/read today. If you’ve told one lie, stolen anything, or lusted (which is adultery of the heart), you’ll be found guilty on Judgment Day and end up in Hell. But there’s good news: Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, perfectly kept the Law, fulfilling all righteousness. He paid the fine for sinners ( that we could never pay ) by suffering and dying on the cross-absorbing the wrath of God that we deserve. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. Today, repent and trust Jesus; God will grant you forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. God bless ❤❤

I have a really cool meta that you might appreciate, you can have planters stacked on half floors and they work. I can set something up and show you.
@TeaGuyTom
@TeaGuyTom Жыл бұрын
@sigbog was just telling me about this exact same thing. The Harvesting would be the easy part. I could imagine a 3x3 module with a two shelves on each side. The problem is the planting and general ergonomics of planting multiple floors. When you're doing a whole room every hour an half that squeezing into the back of a large box can get pretty annoying. Then there's also water and lighting. I'm making it a point to explore it, and I promise you I want it to be a thing. It would be sick to have walls of planters on ramps but without a "plant-all" feature it's probably not going to be ripe yet. If you haven't subscribed to @sigbog I highly suggest. He's always crafting up new angles and thanks for the suggestion and comment! You're definitely on to something! GG's! ☕
@sirseven3
@sirseven3 Жыл бұрын
@TeaguyTom they just added the plant all feature! It's been live for about a month on pc idk about console. I have developed a few designs that I can throw on a build server to show but I just don't do rust videos. It's not quite a box It's a variation of a multifunction compact farm with full clan size scalability fully enclosed on a river
@TeaGuyTom
@TeaGuyTom Жыл бұрын
@@sirseven3 You got me booting up a dev server to double check, but I don't think they added a "plant-all", just "remove-all" & "clone-all". rust.facepunch.com/news/the-big-qol-update • Added a Clone/Pick/Remove all option when looking at plants in a planter Will report back if I find some news, but without the plant-all it makes reaching the back of the planter very difficult.

I don't understand why Facepunch just don't use their contents full potential... While I was watching this video I imagined 4 more tea types, they can easily add one more type of berry I guess: 1- Running tea (includes swimming) 2- Cold tea (gives protection against cold) 3- Attention tea ( Increases crafting speed, might add reducing cost for repair and material in crafting) 4- Gathering tea (Great for farmers) These are crucial for survival and greatly enhances the importance of tea farming and boosts the trading and farming side of game. I know they nerfed that type of gameplay multiple times but I think that this is what Rust needs to keep up as a great game. I can count countless more content for countless things, this game has unlimited potential but Facepunch chooses to focus on pvp side more, which is a huge mistake in my opinion.
@TeaGuyTom
@TeaGuyTom Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Completely agree with you. It also gives another strat to raiding and advancing through the wipe. Another level to the scrap / pipes / sulfer spiral. If Teas expand it'll be more desirable to raid for strictly teas just to get the advantage. Use those buffs to get one over your competition. I really see it becoming an integral part of the game. You probably don't care that much but the way to get the best solar placement is making the solar bit face north just on the tally, longest solar time.
@TeaGuyTom
@TeaGuyTom Жыл бұрын
100% agreed! North is the play now that the solar panel is associated to the "Rust calendar" instead of the center line like before. Man, that was always weird. Covered excellently by the Goat Sigbog here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2SxgXquqbllqbs I struggled between going into detail or simplifying it while putting this together. For this video I tried to keep everything as simple as possible. Everyone seems to make tea farming out to be this endeavor (and it certainly can turn into one)... but it can also just be something to do for fun just messing around. Hoping to make it a bit more... idk... approachable? Sure... The follow up to this will go into a bit more detail and I'm currently doing my best to make that not a slog and somewhat entertaining to watch. I'm trying knock knock jokes and long awkward pauses filled with ums and bad dialogue... I don't know. Going for it... Thanks for the comment butter! (I love you toast). We're all in this wasteland together so every little bit helps. Cheers. ☕

Tea farm thumbnails are tough. They're either a planter box or a dude holding teas... Obviously the next one will be a dude in front of a planter box holding a tea... but... you get it. gg's ☕

Never made a berries farm before, I just happen to prefer cloth farming and been doing that on my last 2k hrs probably, but I may give this a try though. Nice vid!

It's not that much different, you'll be pretty well set-up. Juggling 4 plants at the same time can be a bit confusing, but it's fun! GL ☕

You know... I had that clip sitting on my drive and I just didn't know what to do with it. Even the quality is off on it. It just... it just hit right. Glad you appreciated it as well. ☕
