Can anybody tell Autodesk maya or Zbrush which is suitable for in Animation industry or as professional which have more Recognition please

hi, I made a sword in Maya and imported it in ZBrush and now I want to detail it and I need to use dynamesh cause of some cloth wrapped around the sword. so, then do I have to do retopology in Maya again?
@AcademicPhoenixPlus6 ай бұрын
That's a great question. You do not need to retopo unless the geometry has been altered dramatically. For example, if I took my blade and made it thicker and larger, I would have to retopo, because baking won't add those changes. Baking only does details. I hope that helps!

@AcademicPhoenixPlus2 жыл бұрын
You don't have to worry about UVs in the high poly model. As long as the low poly model has the UVs, you are set. :)

is it better to make a model in maya, put fine details on zbrush and then paint it in substance? Cuz it seems if we increase the polygons and add details on zbrush we can export normal maps and it can have more complex and detailed quality which you can never achieven in substance just by painting.

hi Monica, this video help me a lot and i want to ask " how to import maya obj in separate parts and combine in zbrush? "
@yagiz893 жыл бұрын
Is there any other way to make those details (like metal cracks and cloth bumbs) only using maya ? I know its super easy to use zbrush for details but i dont have the software plus its super expensive in my country and i dont want to download from torrent.
@delrichex13163 жыл бұрын
The cracks can be made in maya using the sculpting workspace, you will have to get a crack alpha or sculpt it by hand if you could. For the cloths, ncloth is great. But ill recommend Marvelous designer for clothes or fabric stuffs
@AcademicPhoenixPlus3 жыл бұрын
It is possible, but it will be very heavy mesh. You can add the details through texture, or if you want to sculpt, then Mudbox might be a better option. I hope that helps!
