There were some navy sailors at the range loading singles off stripper clips. I showed them how to use the spoon, it blew their minds.😂 It’s great they offer this.

We tested this ammo today at the range and got good velocities in the middle of the normal range at around 3160-ish for the M193 (556XMB) and 3050-ish for the M855 (556KMB). Based off testing other products this is pretty decent, not too hot and not too cold either. IMO the middle of the range is where you want to be for best. New video coming next week for that test

@@g54b95 I was C Co. 1/15 INF @ Kelly Hill FT.Benning, GA. We where a rapid deployed INF unit. 1996-1999. I was the guy that got ran over during training by a 2/69 Armor M1A Tank and lived. Night training before unit was getting deployed back to middle east. God! I hate Tanks, 🤣

Is this essentially just their XTAC ammo just in clips or is it more comparable to Winchester M193? Just want that maximum load if in gonna buy it in bulk.

It is Xtac packaged in a different way. I am not sure what you mean by comparable to Winchester. Winchester / Lake City M193 and PMC 556 55 grain XP193 are basically the same thing, the only difference is that PMC water-proofs the cartridge with primer sealant and black lucas in the case mouth, a step Winchester cut out on Lake City commercial sales material m193 ammo

@@SGAmmo_LLC thank you what i was meaning is that last time you did a comparison between Winchester's M193 and PMC Xtac, the Xtac seemed to be around 100 fps inferior to the Winchester from the same length barrels and many commentators were stating that PMC has recently "nerfed" the performance of their. 5.56 rnds. That's more or less what i was alluding to. Didn't know if these were hotter loads or just standard Xtac. Correct my ignorance if I'm wrong. Im just seeking some education on the matter.

@@Innawoods7614 The test variables and lot to lot variation in manufacturing can make a lot of any perceived difference between real world tests. Even the Winchester / Lake City tests on the mild side of the velocity range. Most commercial sales material 5.56 is reduced slightly for reliability reasons. The 'Hot' ammo that pushes the upper limit of the spec range is notorious for blowing out primers and other failures if used in 'non-NATO-standard' firearms, AR15s with like suppressors, 18" barrels 223 Wylde chambers. There is just too much customization of the AR15 rifle in the US commercial market for max-limit pressure ammo to be a good idea. IMO that extra 100 FPS comes with a lot of potential negatives that can lead to major weapons failure, the real important attributes of ammo are reliability and accuracy, it just does not matter if projectile hits the target at 2800, 2900, 3000 or 3100 FPS as long as it is on target and works every time you pull the trigger. If you are looking for M193 ammo at the upper end of the velocity range, you might want to check out the CBC military contract ammo we have right now
