I just purchased this. The first 20 seconds of playing a few chords and melodies, I was fighting back holding tears. I’ve never before had the urge to cry from my own music. Thank you so much Spitfire Audio ❤️

I have a crush on Spitfire. Could that be a thing, who knows...I just love everything these guys do, not only the products but the tutorials to back everything up, the interviews - Christian's existential, humorous rants and riddles surrounding the reasons of why we do what we do, etc., I just can't wait to buy this among other of their libs. Oh and those string examples at 13:20 and 13:25 in this video remind me so much of Murcof's "Martes" album.

Very inspiring... not just the library itself, but also the overall approach. This is most certainly something I’ll be thinking about for a long time and draw upon when constructing my own Kontakt instruments.

This is a great library and such an emotionally contextual and expressive instrument. It’s superb for exploring ideas and then follow through to motifs and harmonies which could complete a piece. 🙏🦄🎩 it’s like an elegant scent in the evening air. 🧚

This is fascinating! Not only does it sound wonderful, but I’m really interested in this ‘velocity based’ concept. Looking forward to where you might take it next. Perhaps if there was a more orchestral version you could hold down some strings texture at the lower velocity and then play a French horn melody at the higher velocity. Would be very inspiring. Or perhaps the lower velocity feeds the texture into the arpeggiator, so you can get all sorts of rhythms, and then play at high velocity to get melody on top of that.

I would really love it if the lead layers were legato. If engaged, successively played lead layers could automatically trigger legato samples, while the soft and texture layers would continue to be polyphonic.

I bought the library and I’m really enjoying it. Are there any tips for the optimum way to dial back the volume of the top velocity, loud layer? For me, the loud samples are a bit too loud on some of the presets. It would actually be nice if there was an expression control for just the loud layer on the GUI that could be independently assigned to a controller. Maybe it’s there somewhere, and I missed it.

Exiting library! How do you pro composer go about producing a notated score when working with this kind of library? ... or you do not bother about having real musicians performing the music that was originally created with this kind of library? I am just curious and thanks for any comments, suggestions and feedback... Cheers, Max T.
@SzabolcsBoszormenyi5 жыл бұрын
Hi Max! It can be some software turning the midi notes into a traditional music notation. Like presonus Notion. Or someone can write down the notes after hearing it. Vangelis got a home studo where he plays a full orchestra and records the audio and there are people working for him who listens the recordings and write down the notations for the whole orchestra. Have a nice day! =)

Looking at the video, it does seem incredibly laggy on the highest velocity layer - you hit the note, and then the sound emerges a good few fractions of a second later, with a very soft attack, almost creeping in
@halcyondaystunes6 жыл бұрын
Charles Gaskell Well maybe that's how it is set. I'm sure you can adjust the attack to your personal preference.

when we first started selling synclaviers at bandive - it was the keyswitches / velocity mapping setups in a sample based environment that made client minds up - with no disrespect - this is an old technique - rediscovered and sold as something new - it does sound great - but it's not new.
