I grew up with miserable British TV/Movies … So, I love this library! 😜

Hehe. I did too, well sort of, Sweden has a very similar style. And quite a few shows from Britain get broadcasted here as well.

I have always admired/liked UK film composers so thank you for this. Sounds quite useful. Well done!!

Fantastic explanation of how the expression wheel works for this library. Much clearer now! Great instrument and great review. Thanks!

The sound is very realistic and the timbres nicely varied, super well recorded, however I would have a problem with the build in swelling as that alto sax did so prominently. Working a lot with the All In bundle from Audio Modeling I enjoy the ability to control expression where and when i want it. Great demo!

You can control that with the velocity. Cheers!

Nevertheless the rate at which that alto sax was swelling and its peak brightness at “ max swell” is recorded and not user defined.

It's only max, at max velocity. But sure, this is a quick solution, not a full control library.

I think I would always prefer to have the instruments and do my own arrangements even if it takes a little longer. Thanks for the review.

That is preferred by most I think. Cheers!

@@SecondTierSound Sam, for reference, after some thought, I recently acquired Solstice in the recent sale. As far as I can see, that one acquisition covers all my 'squirly' needs which are otherwise offered on several of Spitfire's other products. I think the old mantra of quality and 'playability' is the key which, of course, is why some libraries age well, but unlike a good wine, once corked, they last a little longer :). I guess that presents a saturation conundrum if you are a developer in a relatively limited market.

My BDT looks sooo different than this. I'm not sure why or if I'm missing something?
