Marci, you are an amazing person. I follow you and a couple of other parents of disabled kids. You strike a great balance of advocating for Freya while allowing her to go to school, participate in therapies, and be a participant in activities in and out of the family. It must be hard to relinquish control of Freya, but you are doing so to allow her to be her best self. Kudos to you!

Ive been out of the loop for a while and trying to catch up with your videos. I just love you family. Your kids are just precious. I have 6 and 1 in heaven that just celebrated his 13th birthday and his dad we just celebrated his 64th heavenly birthday. Our children are grown now and I miss all those school days and those "1st" of everything. Children are so fun and the greatest gifts ever.

I love this wheel chair. Freya looks like she's right at home in it. She's going to be rockin and rolling in it before you can blink an eye. She maybe little, but when she gets the hang of things, there's no stopping her. GOOOOO FREYA!! 🥰

I remember when you first put Freya in a wheelchair, she was wheeling herself around. She is going to love this. I have an electric wheelchair here, in case we go out to see the scenery as I can't walk because of feet, knees and one hip. Not to mention, I'm old and know one day I will be in it. Yes, you can manually move it, and it can be pushed. But my husband decided to get the electric. Turtle and Rabbit speeds.

How awesome your sister found such a great wheelchair. Freya seems to like it a lot. I love her little lady bug tattoo she got from the carnival. Looks so cute on her. I think she will start moving around on her own real soon. She seems to want to. Poor Jessie, that sounds so painful and scary for you. So glad she is feeling better and not having to be in the hospital. Great job on fixing up the chair too. Love the snow wish we had cool or cold weather. Today was 88. We still have a lot more of those to come🤪

Feel better Jesse! Sweet wheels Freya! My chair was a temporary solution and didn't need to be as fancy as yours. I am working to get out of my wheelchair fully bc my health is better than it has been. I am just using it part time now and doing a lot of standing exercises in physical therapy.

yeah as long as she's buckled it probably doesn't matter if her feet touch. it's great she's already figuring out the wheels, that's a good start! she's probably not big enough to be rough on it but tip: always have an allan wrench when stuff loosens lol. yeah it takes awhile but also good to know how to fix the chair yourself

She may walk. Wheelchairs aren’t only for people that won’t walk. It will be awhile before she does if she does. And even then she will struggle with long distances and or keeping up with the family.

Alright! Marci Mechanic and Freya Freedom! Marci-you go girl! That wheelchair revision was pretty complex-I got tired just thinking about it. Reminded me of being 20 years younger and trying to put together IKEA furniture. If the pieces were heavy, I had to have my husband finish. I just didn’t have the arm or hand strength. Of course hubs being a typical male would never look at instructions, so I had to supervise! That wheelchair was just waiting to come home for Freya! Since she has to turn the wheels themselves because of her reach, it reminded me of how I’ve seen people use leather gloves to protect their hands. I wonder if anyone makes gloves small enough for her petite hand and lucky arm? And then I had a mental picture of her wheelchair being motorized, and her turning into Speed Racer!😊Best wishes for Jessie to recover quickly. Many of us know how miserable a kidney infection can be. 😊❤️
