I have to 100% agree with you. Brain you, should never feel guilty about giving a shelter dog a second chance at life. Im 38 years old and to be honest. All I can remember is my family rescuing dogs and cat and giving them a second chance at all. My family has been doing it doing it since I was 8. So the best thing I could honestly say coming from a perspective rescuer. If they could actually speak. In the end they when its there time to return home. They would tell thank you for giving me a chance where no one else would, thank you for giving me a chance to experience life. My Golden Retriever passed away 2 years ago this August from liver and spinal failure. I want to say he lived to be 13 or 14. He was a rescue.

Great bonding time at her age too. Truth Bro, the Lord does things by surprise quite often. Im a Believer and daily send prayers for all the folks i subscribe to. Especially as the world is changing so fast. And healing is a healthy part of us as humans after loss. Lost both my parents in 2000,2001, 6 months apart, and the loss of my job, & had a stroke. Today 3 years later, looking back those were some dark years. 1 day at a time now, but a lotta healing, and self prayer and faith in my Savior. stoked for you and Meadow. enjoy her puppydays😋😁😁🙏🙏🤙🤙

I agree with you, God has a way of opening our eyes to things we aren't able to see. The lesson I've learned is to keep loving with all my heart. Sierra was so a special companion and I'd give anything to have one more day with her. Unfortunately cancer had other plans. I've asked God to help soothe my pain during this time and I was rewarded with Meadow coming into my life. I'm very thankful for her playful energy and innocence, she's just what I needed. I did the same thing after losing my dogs that lived 12 and 13 years. I adopted a shelter dog. There were 82 dogs in the shelter looking for homes that day I picked up my new friend ..it's a great feeling to give a home to a homeless animal it makes them so happy.

I have a heavy heart , I did go and look at another dog but they didn't think she was a good fit for me because I'm 58 and she is a younger dog about 10 months old but I think they were very wrong I have plenty of time to raise another and love it . I had my last one 12 and half years , I gave her the best life . My heart hasn't been the same since she left . I'm so glad you got little Meadow she is so pretty and she looks like a baby Sierra. I swear that Miss Sierra sent you Meadow! I donno about any type of religious beliefs minus the beautiful quote you put at the beginning, but if you believe in spirituality at all I think it would be hard to argue that Sierra passed so that Meadow could find her forever home! I have two dogs, one from the local shelter, he’s going to be 17 years old this year, very old for a 35 lbs dog, my other one is from the highway in Baja I’ve had her for 2 years, she’s about 5 now.
