I have a version of this but it's not the balloons themselves, or them popping, it's the concept of stuff under pressure. So like, guitar strings tightening, metal bending, gas tanks, balloons, stuff that *could* explode. That puts me in a bad place mentally and I start to think of every worst scenario (explosion, string in eye, etc.) even if it's ultimately harmless.
