There is a series called Kpop Evolution on KZbin Originals. This also tells you a lot about the kpop history, but also has interviews with kpop idols, from the 1st gen till now. I am not sure if you can react to it due to copyright, but I think you will learn a lot about kpop if you watch it. Please watch it, even if you can't react to it!

It's so hard attempting to introduce a new genre to people, like it's so hard so I simply just don't do it.I mean it's not for everybody, but I would rather people just say" it's not for me"then to talk down upon it, because then that would just be unnecessary, so yeah I don't try to introduce any of my friends or family to kpop because I already know the outcome. I like it because it's different, and to be quite honest it stands out, and I think it's really interesting how they train to do it before they debut, most of these idols have literally been working their butts off since they were literal kids! Like work working, getting sent off to camps and not being able to see their families just so achieve their dreams of becoming an artist which I find very interesting the work ethic is definitely different, but most people will never know that side of K-pop.

I'm a second generation fan and I had my siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, my whole freaking family listening to Korean songs and even learning the groups names. Not a single one cared for the genre though, only one niece tolerated it and came to concerts with me and everything, but otherwise nobody really cared .... of course 10+ years later my little nieces and nephews and cousins who I had initially introduced Kpop to and hated it now listen to it, go to concerts, buy merchandise, etc. Goes to show that people will like what they like no matter what, times changed and Kpop became a thing that everyone now likes *sigh* I mean where were all these fans when I was a fan, I was such a loner lmao

[What does Hyundai know abt making music?] You need to check out Hyundai x BTS collab, *IONIQ: I'm On It* MV. I mean, it's BTS, so ofc, the music is good, but it's also such a strange juxtaposition of music that's great on its own but made perfectly for a car ad. In any case, this has risen my standards for how good advertisement should be.

@@em5522 That is not quiet true. What language do you think they speak in Malaysia? How about Indonesia? Or Brazil? It is not Korean. But english as a secondary language, a lingua franca is very wide spread. You will notice English in Big Business, Tourism and Influencers even when they are not from English speaking countries and so on. Tat is without the darker history of colonisation and pressure from the US. Interviews for India for example are held in English.
