Well done bro.. Im Malaysian who live in NZ and my nasi lemak habis licin org NZ makan bro.. Thy really love it.. Ive look at ur video to prepare the nasi lemak and let me share my recipe.. All wht u did was awesome but u might wanna try this > For the sambal, please add 1 or 2 cups of ikan bilis to ur blended chillies/garlic/onions.. Blend all together.. The add-on of the anchovies to your blended ingredients will taste better.. The blended anchovies will gv the umami taste.. When u fried the blended ingredients/sambal, make sure u hv enough cooking oil, once u start seeing the bubble of the oils (pecah minyak) start to add the palm sugar and taste it to your liking.. No need salt anymore as u have the anchovies blended together.. U can still add another fried anchovies as the condiment.. Menawhile for the nasi lemak, my tips, buy beras beriani, rendam or soak wt the pipe water for 30 mins , throw out the water, and then cook the beras like how u did.. The reason to soak the beras is to get a cooked nasi lemak which is not too sticky.. The end result of the nasi lemak will become like the nasi kukus, u can see each butir of the nasik.. Ok bro.. All the best ...oh ya, another one thing for the dried chillies(cili kering), the market usually will sell 2 types of cili kering, please choose the less spicy one.. ✌️

To add on the rice, always ratio the coconut milk and water...for eg if you put 1 cup of rice, then it's 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 cup of water...and you can try put pandan leaves, and a little bit of fenugreek seeds (if you can't find pandan leaves)...it smells great too with the fenugreek... www.nyonyacooking.com/recipes/nasi-lemak~BynkuvoPf9-X 👈you can check this link to if you are going to cook again...happy trying and good luck 👍

No wrong ways of eating Nasi Lemak. 1)Lynn: If using chopstick, make sure to use it with the Chinese spoon. You can easily use the chopstick to pick the peanuts, fried anchovies and sambal sauce and put on the spoon of rice. Delish!!! 2) John: eating sambal sauce with Roti Canai is ONE OF THE BEST WAY of eating Roti Canai! Legit!!

What I like about the video, you guys decided to stick to the original traditional version of nasi lemak, not those fancy ones with fried chicken and even used old newspaper instead of those brown ones.... salute for the effort guys. It's nice to see our tradition come to alive from your videos. Kudos to your friends who participated - minute 18:30 Laila asking Henry to try anchovies sooooo pure.... ,cute kids i had to rewind and rewatch a couple of times for the cuteness sake Like Michael/Amie mentioned in the end... flavour profile of Nasi Lemak, a little bit of everything... that's exactly what is Malaysia about from our food and culture, isn't it? Little bit of everything in one bucket called Malaysia. Logesh try making Satay Sauce - it is quite popular in London, but the store-bought ones taste nothing like the real Kuah Kacang. If you make Kuah Kacang, you can eat it with Satay, Tauhu Sumbat, Rojak and Nasi Himpit. Looking forward to seeing more exciting content... Cheers!

The way to fold so that it looks like triangle: * On one side (let's call it side A), put right side of the banana leaf on top of the left side. * On side B, put left side of banana leaf on top of the right side. * Fold both side A and B, then you'll get perfect triangle. Done! Idk if you get the instruction, im bad at giving instructions without picture. So sorry. P/s: your sambal looks legit.

Nasi lemak is perfect for someone on a diet, really. Its perfect 😇. Just joking, it is hard to resist a perfectly fried sambal with the perfect balance of proportions for dried chilli, belacan , assam, salt, sugar, oil. A perfect sambal and perfectly cooked coconut rice with alleber, ginger slices, pandan leaves, crispy fresh fried peanuts, ikan bilis, telur rebus, and lovingly wrapped inside a lovingly cleaned fresh, green banana leaf wrapper. Perfect

@@premananthini1626 on Malaysian dining table it's easily more tableware than knives. Most of us have like one cleaver, one small knife and a peeler. And we will have chopsticks, fork and spoon (like different kinds of it, be it China Japanese Korean)
