Introducing our name: Melbourne Holocaust Museum

Over our redevelopment, we’ve thought often about who we are, asking: what should we call ourselves? Today, we are thrilled to tell you that our name will be the Melbourne  Holocaust  Museum.  
This name reflects our past, present and future. We hold Melbourne survivor stories and want our city - their home and ours - in our name. Calling ourselves a museum is important as we are a museum, collecting and sharing experiences of the Holocaust to educate for a better future.
