Very excited to see how those upgrades turn out! So far yours is the the best information I’ve come across on piezo pick up building. Super informative and clear. You’re a great teacher. Thank you!

Hello!✨ Thank you for checking out my playlist! I'm thrilled that my videos have been useful to you.😁 I plan to produce a follow-up video about this circuit soon; I purchased some components to flatten its frequency response for a truer translation from sound to audio.🔥Thanks again! Have a beautiful day, and stay tuned. ⚡

I use both pickups, but I agree about the piezo bringing out the sound of the actual box. I love your skills at building preamps as it is not one of mine.

Hey Mike! ✨ I’m just a musician and audio electronics enthusiast. I was able to build my pre through researching free online resources. I’m just passing on what I’ve learned. ✨ 😉🔥

The level I get out of piezo is adequate, for me, without a preamp, and I will have it wired with either a three-way, like a Les Paul, or with a blend knob, like a bass, in conjunction with a magnetic pup. I've only ever used single-coil, thus far, but I have some humbuckers on hand for the near future.

Cool! ✨ I’ve seen Del Pucket make really nice blended pickups. I’ve not tried to build one yet but am definitely interested. 😀 Good luck on your Humbucker builds…Let me know how they turn out! 👍🔥

My goal is to make a piezo preamp small enough to fit inside the cigar box. I'm just having a hard time choosing between the round piezos, and the piezo stick that goes under the strings.

Hi! Thanks for checking out my update video. 💜✨ The circuit in my original preamp video is simple and can be made small enough to build into a cigar box with your piezo pickup, especially if you forgo the pbc layout and direct wire components. ✨I believe this is what Colin’s Lab did in his video about this circuit. His video is linked in my original preamp video’s description box in case you want to check it out👍 Piezo size, placement and type are going to have a huge impact on your guitar’s tone. That’s the fun part when it comes to exploring piezos 🤩 Anyway, I wish you luck in your explorations. Let me know how your project turns out. 😀🔥

Go with disc(round) piezos to capture the whole instrument. Rod or tape piezos that go under the strings are far less sensitive and will pick only the sound from the strings for a cleaner sound closer to magnetic pickup. Discs also allow much more variation in placement and different sound results. Also glue to mount the piezo has a different sound than double side tape. Experimentation is the key with piezos.
