Been playing MIDI guitar for 30 years. Go get a 13 pin Godin equipped MIDI guitar or what I use is the Fishman Triple PLay wireless MIDI pickup. I can play my Moog synth using my guitar not the keys on the Moog. Same with plugins in Ableton especially the dope cool ones like Omnisphere, Serum etc. I have Komplete 13 Ultimate which has like 50 virtual synths or some crazy number like that so that takes your guitar to places you never could have imagined. Yep.....gotta drop $400 for Fishman pickup and also need a sound engine. Fishman makes an app for Ipad that people use playing live and a foot pedal to switch between patches. Worth checking out like the Casio but this is wireless solution and can go on almost any guitar with perfect tracking and intonation (at least perfect for me). worth checking out.

Brilliant!!!! As a proud owner of all released Behringer synths you have a new fanboy over here! Now please rack FX. Deepmind has probably the best FX ever built in in a synth. Shame I cant use them with other gear.
@OttosTheName4 жыл бұрын
Deepmind has TC electronic FX right? TC and Behringer are both part of the Music Tribe company. TC sells rack FX starting at €120 iirc. If Behringer does the same (or even cheaper) they'll compete with their sister company. That's why TC makes quality stompboxes for around €120 and Behringer makes plasticy (but still pretty nice) fx for €20-40. I don't even thibk they make V-amp multi FX boxes anymore (also came in rack form).

I've been waiting for this since it was first announced. It's a great companion to my Neutron. Although I was "craving" this thing for months, you guys took so long to release it, I ended up buying a 42hp 3+1U eurorack case and 6 modules for it since then. Can't afford to buy the Crave anymore lol I still say this is a great companion to a Neutron especially if you're new to modular synths like me.
@michaelt_tamtam4 жыл бұрын
@@ftj4441 I think the Crave is a good companion to the Neutron if you're new to modular because they are both very affordable, having a 3rd (simpler) OSC of the same type is great, another different filter is useful, plus having an extra LFO+envelope for more modulation helps to expand your patches. Then there's the sequencer section that can be used with the Neutron. So I see the Crave as a Neutron Expander. That's also the direction I went with my small eurorack case, I call it my Neutron Expander
@michaelt_tamtam4 жыл бұрын
@@ftj4441 for sure the Crave can't be beat for that price. Thinking about the money I'd save if I'd buy the Crave was worth the wait. Though after continuing research on modular (Patch&Tweak, great book) I realized that I wanted to start exploring different more exotic stuff like wavefolding and ring modulation. That's why I went with a eurorack, to further advance my modular exploration. About pedals, I use them through my mixer's effects send, that way there's no problem with signal levels. It's more flexible than going from synth into pedal, especially for having a blend control.
@michaelt_tamtam4 жыл бұрын
@@ftj4441 and you can keep the Neutron inside it's own case to save on the expense of HP, unless you're building your own case for cheap. Eurorack cases alone are pretty expensive.

the crave is a super nice synth and if you get multiple you can get very creative. on big thing i miss, is the option to change the patterns after they finished the current run. if i change patterns, ins immediate and most of the time it results in sync problems with my other devices. since this sequencer is in many of your products, you should definetly implement this feature, since wiht would contribute much to the playability of you instruments and helps a lot with playing live. live sequencing is another thing, that would be much appreciated. peace

Yeah imagine the racks you could make with this thing, the possibilities would be endless! Oh and also, is the crave a good synth to have as a first? I've wanted to jump into hardware synthesis for a while and like this synth. Thanks and sorry for the question!
@Gyrbae3 жыл бұрын
@@sedij2358 Well if you're looking for an analog semimodular synth then Crave is the right one for you, especially for the price and because it has it's own one octave keyboard. Note that you can't save patches, and it's monophonic, so if you want a cheap everymans workhorse then something like Microkorg or Mininova would be great as a first synth. With those you can play chords, save patches and use a vocoder. You can get some seriously good sounds with some tweaking from them, but if it's analog and modular you're looking for then definitely go for Crave.

I'd love a Crave and I love my Neutron but the Volca Bass still has plenty to offer that neither of the Behringers have. Transpose is sweet, filter is awesome, patchbay is rad, but Volca filter is lovely too and the Volca can play 3 sequences of different length with its 3 oscillators and the sequencer has some other nice features. Uno Synth was called Volca Killer too, but the Volca's still sell like hotcakes.
@valley_robot4 жыл бұрын
OttoNL 3 separate VCO and separate sequencers for each on the bass makes me think the crave is ok but no volca bass
@LukeWatts854 жыл бұрын
@@OttosTheName Fair point. Every synth has something to offer. But this could take the place (for some people) of the volcas as their first synth. And I think the massive reliance on the func button is a big hurdle of the volcas as a beginner synth. It becomes about getting good at that instead of exploring sound design. I do like the volca bass though too

No. You twisted my words (and still are) to make it seem like I'm whining so you can lecture down to me. I am not saying "I want". please make the crave and the rd-9 compatible with the trigger outs from the rd-9 into the sequencer inputs of the crave. the rd-8 triggers are too short for example. you could fix it with the ms-1 so do it with crave aswell please. also the midi clock is not compatible with the rd-8 into the crave. all on newest firmware but buggy as hell. using midi thru into a second crave doubles the midi clock. very strange behaviour. love the gear but would be great to be able to hook it up accordingly to what it says in the manual.
