Been playing MIDI guitar for 30 years. Go get a 13 pin Godin equipped MIDI guitar or what I use is the Fishman Triple PLay wireless MIDI pickup. I can play my Moog synth using my guitar not the keys on the Moog. Same with plugins in Ableton especially the dope cool ones like Omnisphere, Serum etc. I have Komplete 13 Ultimate which has like 50 virtual synths or some crazy number like that so that takes your guitar to places you never could have imagined. Yep.....gotta drop $400 for Fishman pickup and also need a sound engine. Fishman makes an app for Ipad that people use playing live and a foot pedal to switch between patches. Worth checking out like the Casio but this is wireless solution and can go on almost any guitar with perfect tracking and intonation (at least perfect for me). worth checking out.

Deepmind has TC electronic FX right? TC and Behringer are both part of the Music Tribe company. TC sells rack FX starting at €120 iirc. If Behringer does the same (or even cheaper) they'll compete with their sister company. That's why TC makes quality stompboxes for around €120 and Behringer makes plasticy (but still pretty nice) fx for €20-40. I don't even thibk they make V-amp multi FX boxes anymore (also came in rack form).

I've been waiting for this since it was first announced. It's a great companion to my Neutron. Although I was "craving" this thing for months, you guys took so long to release it, I ended up buying a 42hp 3+1U eurorack case and 6 modules for it since then. Can't afford to buy the Crave anymore lol I still say this is a great companion to a Neutron especially if you're new to modular synths like me.
@michaelt_tamtam5 жыл бұрын
@@oOFTJOo I think the Crave is a good companion to the Neutron if you're new to modular because they are both very affordable, having a 3rd (simpler) OSC of the same type is great, another different filter is useful, plus having an extra LFO+envelope for more modulation helps to expand your patches. Then there's the sequencer section that can be used with the Neutron. So I see the Crave as a Neutron Expander. That's also the direction I went with my small eurorack case, I call it my Neutron Expander
@michaelt_tamtam5 жыл бұрын
@@oOFTJOo for sure the Crave can't be beat for that price. Thinking about the money I'd save if I'd buy the Crave was worth the wait. Though after continuing research on modular (Patch&Tweak, great book) I realized that I wanted to start exploring different more exotic stuff like wavefolding and ring modulation. That's why I went with a eurorack, to further advance my modular exploration. About pedals, I use them through my mixer's effects send, that way there's no problem with signal levels. It's more flexible than going from synth into pedal, especially for having a blend control.

@@sedij2358 Well if you're looking for an analog semimodular synth then Crave is the right one for you, especially for the price and because it has it's own one octave keyboard. Note that you can't save patches, and it's monophonic, so if you want a cheap everymans workhorse then something like Microkorg or Mininova would be great as a first synth. With those you can play chords, save patches and use a vocoder. You can get some seriously good sounds with some tweaking from them, but if it's analog and modular you're looking for then definitely go for Crave.

I wanna buy my first Synthesizer and I have so many questions. Can I control this Synth via my DAW? For example control some of the knobs with automation? Is this a good choice for a first Synth? Should I buy a reverb pedal with it? I think the hall of fame sounds really good with this. But I could also maybe use a reverb from my DAW.
@thirfytash72865 жыл бұрын
This is a great beginner synth as it sounds really good and is easy to come up with great sounds fast and doesn't have many parameters, same with the arturia microbrute, BUT same as the arturia microbrute automaton from your DAW for the knob parameters is not possible as no behringer synths allow that except the deepmind as there's no digital control for knobs for non deepmind synths, usually if synths have prrsets there's digital control for the knobs, so if control from your Daw is a must you're better off looking at the korg monologue, the Novation bass station 2 or the ik multimedia uno synth for about the same price and real analog, the skulpt synth is another affordable option but its not real analog its analog modeling or sometimes called virtual analog which uses an algorithm in a computer chip to try to emulate the sound an analog synth, which an analog synth basically uses voltage from an oscillator to create a sound and a lot of people including myself find it to be more pleasing, i used to only have virtual analog synths and vsts for the most part but now for analog I found I need the real thing but that's my preference, digital sounds like wavetable, samples, etc... I still use as well though. As far as reverb goes pedals usually do offer nicer sounding reverb than plugins and if that's the reason you want a pedal go for it just make sure your sound card has extra inputs and outputs because it's easier to mix by using the pedal as a send effect instead of recording it straight in as then you have to fight the recorded reverb with your eqs and compressors etc.. Instead of being able to add the reverb after through a send, but there's plenty of great reverb plugins as Valhalla that are pretty cheap, just search plugins that sound like pedals and you'll get a bunch of results. Edit: roland has some affordable virtual analogs too if you're interested with digital control.

@NEEM Also forgot a couple of things, don't know how technical you wanna get but if you have the latest ableton (and I believe even bitwig studio does this) and a DC offset soundcard with extra audio outputs you can use those outputs to send CV signals to analog synths with no digital control such as the crave, you create automation as usual in the daw and send that automation via cv to whatever possible cv input is on the crave or any non digital controllef synths, or if your soundcard is not a DC offset or doesn't have extra audio outputs you can buy a dedicated midi to cv converter to send automation to the crave that way, but after you get your first hardware synth I think you'll enjoy tweaking the knobs live more than sending automaton not only is it more fun but more human and personal to your style, at least that's what I've come to realize with how I work, good luck!

@@neem1055 one more thing, there's an assignable cv output on the crave that I believe you can send modwheel automation to, pretty much makes it a midi to cv converter albeit you can only send 1 automation parameter to it, so you can only automate one thing or with a splitter automate a bunch of things but they will all follow the exact same single automation, ok i think I'm done now 😂

Do these new Behringer analog synths use analog white noise generators? Are the envelopes analog or software?

Has anybody else experienced a noise generating when the Low Pass Filter is closing?

I was straining to hear what the guitar pedal was doing. If you listen closely, you can hear some really cool textures happening in the fully wet signal.

Is there a way to sync the arp/sequencer with Ableton over midi?
@Mr.Cactoos.5 жыл бұрын
yep, usb
@behringer5 жыл бұрын
Just send it Midi clock via USB or Midi and it syncs the sequencer or arp to the DAW.

@@saschasturm6548 Everything. You can basically understand this machine as an external physical plugin, just for the sake of understanding the functionality, while in reality its much more then that, ofc.

Do you miss the release knob or can you control that with another knob?
