7 minute DCS videos? Ain't nobody got time for that. Great video, the Hornet is looking fantastic - the fact you have your hands on it means EA isn't far off either and I'll never need to leave the house again.

Crash, really glad you were able to get an early access. Love your videos, and you've been a huge help in the community with you "1 Minute" series. You definitely earned one. Thanks for posting, looking forward to the release for the rest of us, and of course I will be looking for a "1 Min" vid for this too lol.....and I'll check six for the dipsh!ts. ~Rob

I already pre-ordered it, being an F/A-18 mechanic this is a given. I'm unsure about the Hormuz map though, Dubai looks like fun to fly in but i don't know if it's 40-50$ fun

For me, I'd rather have this as opposed to buying the NTTR map, it is more relevant and an important piece of real estate. that said, I would rather have a larger map of Iraq and Afghanistan, but , oh well.

Did anyone else catch the small catch about release date ? He said some time after spring rather than before spring as Wags told us. Actually it was supposed to be out long before the end of spring but end of may was a cushion just in case everything went wrong. Love the video CL, I just couldnt help but to hear that and think SHAT!

just a quick note, I am a "completionist" and I will always enjoy more flying a finished L-39 then a Early access F-22, but that never stopped me from making a pre-order in DCS. Sure there are 2 planes I still regret getting them (Hawk and C-101) for obvious reasons, but the main point is that you can still buy new modules just for supporting the developers, as long as you are aware it will take about a year before the plane will be in a decent state, and you don't go drop a GBU-12 over developer's studio.

Have to say, your comments are absolutely spot on about attracting new players. I have always fancied a go at DCS but all the aircraft seemed..... meh. This one has excited me though. It's a dual role aircraft of the modern age that isn't a red fanny flap in disguise. I think that this is worthy of my 30 odd hard earned pounds, or whatever it is priced at, and could see me definitely in the DCS world.

it turns me off. ill wait for the phantom and tomcat the older planes are better for flight skill and are more immersive and combat is less arcady. tomcat radar guideds are still pretty arcady though. its like the m2k it has fly by wire and makes it boring as hell too fly for me. and the in depth systems with smart weapons just bore me even more

It gives error codes for all the aircraft systems beyond just the nose wheel steering system; nose wheel well digital display indicator. You inspect it on turnarounds and after flight, but really useful during hot turns as well. I was posted to 75sqn many moons ago and worked on the f18s, so just having a bit of fun asking for functionality which really isn't needed! I'd hope they'd put more time in to other things when you can just get the fault codes from one of the DDIs. Thanks heaps for the upload mate, it certainly has inspired me to spend some fun tickets on the F18 pack :)
