Hi Leo hope you well, Great idea a jig for tea lights, looks nice on the piece of Purple hart look just a good on Mahogany or even on a bit of Pine. A metal base is must, this will make a great gift, as always a great video, catch you soon Take care Mate

Solid effort. I’m not in the market, but if I were, I think I’d use it to create a jig for use with a flush cutter in a palm router. A flush cut cutter in a palm router would avoid all the lining up of forstner (sp?) bits with the centre holes.

Cheers for the feedback and you make a great point (no pun intended). The reason why I’ve gone down the route I have is this jig is predominantly aimed at the beginner end of the woodworking spectrum that would also come in useful for more experienced woodworkers. Routing holes with a flush trim bit I’d say is a more intermediate skill👍👍

@@Hand-i-Craft Fair point Leo. I still consider myself new I think. You could do two versions? I am new to flush trim cutters - I literally copied Mr Bradshaw’s hinge jig idea and it was so easy, first time. I’ve done 4 perfect hinges, and two mortises on the wrong face of the door frame…

Damn, I need a jig with 63mm spacing, not 64mm 🤣 .... seriously though, good luck with the sales. A suggestion for you when drilling, clamp a piece of wood to the drill press so that centre line of the holder is in line with the centre point of the drill ... that way you just need to slide the wood along and centre it in one direction rather than all directions, means your holes will always be aligned in the horizontal axis 👍
