Great video, thanks for sharing. Last summer I bought TB3 here in Slovakia. It's expensive (about 25 GBP for 946 ml, including the shipping costs my home town), but I couldn't find any other D4 glue. Local D3 glue for about 8 GBP. How much glue do you use for one cutting board?
@Hand-i-Craft8 күн бұрын
Thanks Hans and great to hear from you. I suppose how much glue I use certainly depends on how big the board is, this glue can be made into D4 with the addition of a hardener 👍👍

I’ve always used the cheap Toolstation disks but I do find they don’t last so long, more due to the backing becoming clogged and the disk falling off my sander rather than the face failing. So one day I decided to take the pricey plunge and bought 2 packs of the Trend mesh thinking they claim 5 times longer lasting. I make things out of reclaimed scaffold boards and set about a 1 mtr piece expecting great things….. About 300mm ( approx 1 minute) later the abrasive originally on the disks, was now all over my timber! (80 grit) the thing had literally lost pretty much all of its abrasive and I was left with a sad circle of bare mesh. Tried a couple more and same result. Suffice to say I’ve since dumped the trends and back on the Toolstation reds. Very disappointed.

What’s interesting about the dust ports is the positioning. I have a 17” metal/wood bandsaw from Grizzly. A very good machine that also has a few annoying things about it. They all do. The dust ports are at the side of the wheels, also at the top and bottom. It’s annoying because the hose sticks out the side. But, the good thing is that it’s more efficient than side ports. I use a shop vacuum with just 300 cfm and it’s perfect.

Hi there, my husband is currently recovering from his Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery. 12/20/24. He had the surgery on the 18th. The 1 week trial worked great for him so he went ahead with the implant. We are in the USA and he had to jump thru many hoops to get approval for this treatment! He had to try all kinds of non-invasive treatments first including physical therapy, mental health visits, etc. finally after all that they suggested the SCS. He had been dealing with pain and swelling in his ankle for 4 years! Excruciating pain and constant swelling! Thank you for doing this video! Great info for people who may be contemplating a Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery.

Thanks for the video. Your results looks brilliant. A year on, how is the finish holding up? I am in the midst of a large renovation and half way through, my wife and I decided we like black exterior frames better than white. We are in a fair penny on windows at this point, but I'd be interested to hear how the paint is holding up and if the frames have responded in any way. Thanks again for the video.

@@gordonperkins804 Thanks for the feedback Gordon. Yes well over a year now and still looking great. For your house make sure to open up the window when painting so the underside of the frame is also painted. I didn’t with it just being the workshop and the windows closed most of the time 👍

Hi. I’ve just built a outdoor cabin. What’s the best stuff to use for the inside flooring and walls? The floor is also wooden. I want to protect the wood from anything getting spilt and in general.
@Hand-i-Craft13 күн бұрын
@@DiiZZZZY There are quite a lot of variables before being able to answer this question. Along the lines of your locality, typical weather / humidity etc, type of wood species, natural wood or painted finish?
@DiiZZZZY13 күн бұрын
It will be natural wood. The cabin I brought was from dunster house. I am just unsure what I can use to protect the floor. I want a natural finish and do not want to paint. I have ordered a sample of Manns Extra Tough Floor Varnish.

Very nice review and your testing seems very thorough. It would be interesting to see what a distributor would sell it for in the US. TB3 is really not that expensive here in the US. Don’t forget that the price of TB3 in the UK includes shipping so that adds to your cost. Thanks for the info.

Leo did you know that in Metric weight that 100g is 100ml
@Hand-i-Craft20 күн бұрын
I should have paid more attention in science at school pal. The reason why I didn’t reference this is I started questioning myself because I had in my head that 100ml of glue would have a denser weight than 100ml of water for example. So I thought that weight in g is different to weight in ml or the imperial equivalent

I did the test simulator 7 months ago, it was only 7 days. I was amazed by it and was scheduled to have it put in the following week. Workmen’s comp. A workman’s insurance for those injured at work. DENIED the procedure. Stating it was medically not cost effective. I had to wait 8 months until I was no longer under their care. I knew I would get it regardless under another insurance plan. They have agreed it is the best option for me. I went 9 months living under EXCRUCIATING PAIN. Prisoner in my own home because I could not stand, walk longer than 10 minuets or sit for more than 30. I don’t expect it to take care of 100% of pain. But I serve a a miracle working GOD. AND WE ARE VERY CLOSE.
