First thoughts : Oh My .... Those White Walls !!! A Dad Bike? Nope, a Grandpa Bike! You will need to grow a HUGE handlebar mustache, wear a 50's vintage bowling shirt, and add a sidecar for dog with leather helmet & goggles. Second thoughts : It's drop dead gorgeous. I love it! As I know you will .... Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy. More thoughts: That sound ....... Yum.

Well, I am a dad and not too far off from being a grandpappy, so that tracks. 🤓 Appreciate the comment, as always. I'm certainly going to enjoy my time with the Eldorado.

Moto Guzzi is one of the best sounding bikes. The older models had a very distinctive sound. The 70s bikes were unmistakable whenever you heard them coming.
@thatoneguymoto9 ай бұрын
The sound is understated and great, IMO. Unique for sure, and I'm a big fan of the duel exhaust.

Congratulations!! I got my 2016 Audace in March 2019 and I absolutely love it!! The big block Guzzi is one of the best kept secret of the motorcycle world!! Sweet handling bike with epic engine and brakes! You can ride the torque from 2500-4000 or get on it in veloce mode from 4000-7000 ! If You still have the Dunlop tyres on it change them for a Avon Cobra Chrome they will transform the turn in and grip levels of the bike!! Plus I get about 10k miles from the back and 20k from the front! And You can get them with white walls. The fuel light is very eager to come up but once You will have at least 50 miles before You actually need to fill up! Best mileage on long trips will be cruse control on in pioggia mode ( it cuts the power by 1/3) turismo has full power but relax throttle reaction veloce is my favourite mode keep it spinning above 4000 and it will shift! The engine doesn't like to be lagged below 2300. It's not a Harley so don't ride it like one! Now when I got my bike with 1100 miles now I'm on 41000 miles and it was faultless! There was a factory recall on the front brake master cylinder . Check your bike if that was done. The only thing that is a bad is the alternator belt. Not that is is bad but to change it You need to take the whole front end oil cooler and so on. The small service (valve clearance and oil will be every 6500 miles) the dash will tell You this by showing a little spanner( don't worry it just a service notice and nothing will be wrong with the bike) good tip every time You change a back tyre change the rear differential oil in the shaft drive( because to do it You have to take the back wheel so yo kill two birds with one stone ) if You got any more questions fire away I'm on insta @audace_rider

Still learning all the ins and outs, so thanks for the feedback! I've been reading up and the Avon's were suggested as a replacement and said to be more durable than the stock Dunlops. I'll definitely check those out.

Dude! What a gorgeous bike, I had the pleasure to try for a few months the Audace 2 years ago so I know you will absolutely love everything about it, the Eldorado is even better looking. Huge congrats p.s. from the silhouette in the thumbnail I would have said Fat Boy, but as an Italian and lifetime Moto Guzzi lover I'm really happy about your choice
@thatoneguymoto9 ай бұрын
Yeah, the silhouette does give Fat Boy or maybe even Slim vibes. It's been a lot of fun getting into the history of the bike and company.

I own the same bike same year but the red and black great bike .One cheap modification I did was got a rubber sticky back the same diameter like u might put on furniture ect as the cruise control button that made it stick out a little more. Makes it sooo much easier to activate now .Have a fantastic time with the Guzzi . Jesus bless ya from a brother from downunder 👍👍💒🤠🤗

Yeah, I noticed it was a bit of a challenge to fully press and hold the button. Been loving everything about it, though. 🤓✌🏽

Congrats ... It is a beautiful and unique motorcycle. But by far, the best thing is how much you love riding it 👍

Agreed. It's so nice to look at, but just as nice to ride. Love it!

Wow! That is a sweet looking bike! Congrats. I've heard of and seen Moto Guzzi before but didn't know that model existed. The black and "just enough " chrome, and of course, the white walls. Perfection.

I had seen the Audace, another version, but the Eldorado (specifically this one) was just to amazing to pass up.

Those might be the original tires. Check the date codes and don’t trust them if they are old. Black sidewall tires would look great on that bike.
@thatoneguymoto9 ай бұрын
Tires are good, and I actually kinda like the whitewalls. I've just had to clean the for the first time, though and it's a pain. But, it'll be interesting to see what method I find that works the best to keep them as white as possible.

It does feel a little like the R18, but even more smooth of a ride. It also weighs about 100 lbs less, so I definitely feel that, as well.

The Eldorado/California was pulled from production in 2021. They also had a super sleek bagger, the MGX, that was built on the California platform.

Hey did they talk about your fantasy football team on NFL Network today? That1guy was team name so I automatically thought of you. Hope you're doing ok Nick Robinson

LOL, no that wasn't me. Pretty cool though. I still follow the Niners, but never had the time to get into fantasy football. Hope you're doing well, too!

I can never relate to people's enthusiasm for the complete (or near complete) lack of vibration in a bike. I ride a Sportster 1200 and if it ever lost its "shake," I'd lose it (the bike) ! And if and when I buy another bike, the only thing that is certain is that it will not be 'smooth' . . . pretty much a certainty given it would almost certainly be a Dyna or pre-18 Softail. Long live the SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE !
@thatoneguymoto5 ай бұрын
The only bikes devoid of any rumble are going to be electric. I am not anti shake at all. I've had three Sportsters and two Dynas. The Eldorado is super smooth at speed but is not without vibration. With the Milwaukee Eight's excellent counterbalancing, I think the current bikes with the best rumble are the Indians with the Thunderstroke 116.

You went from endless yapping to elevator music. We can’t hear how the engine and exhaust sound. But above your continuous talking I could hear what im sure is the usual valve noise that is common in European motorcycles.

Welcome to my motovlog! 🤓 If you're looking for engine noise and exhaust sound, go to 18:33. I'll be publishing a video with just that section of the video soon. Thanks for stopping by. 👍🏽

Yup had same bike, moved it on. Too upright, too big for city, without a screen anything over 100kph is just too tiring. But that said it was a beautiful bike to ride, can’t fault it. Just didn’t meet my needs. I’m not into cruisers it turns out, and I couldn’t do a Harley!
