That is a very thoughtful comment! We love the car and want to get our hands on one as well. Its nice to see that China is trying to lead innovation- We just heard that they are (along with Hong Kong) opening up to the idea of Cryptocurrency . Where we are from, regulations are killing the industry. China with its sleek cars and modernity- I think they might just dominate the car industry in the future with the BYD brand. Early but they seem promising.

It does not have a 94hp version, the max range on the top of the line version is 405 kilometers, not miles. Sodium-ion batteries are less energy dense but cheaper, hence why they will use it. I'm a big fan of the BYD Seagull but there is a lot of misinformation about the car here. Still, great video!

The good news is BYD has made introduction in Canada. The bad news is the BYD Seagul isnt available yet. They just launched this one, and the company is rather new, up and coming. I have seen a few driving around in Australia so i'm sure they'll roll them out over time as demand increases.

Thanks for your concern but we have confirmed : "At the show, it was also confirmed that the BYD Seagulll will be fitted with BYD’s blade batteries which has quashed some of the speculations around the potential use of a Sodium-ion battery pack in the new model."... But we can and will remain optimistic for that Sodium ion tech. Thanks for your input. cool cars eh!?
