You make the coolest receivers! I ordered an RSP2 today. Thanks so much.

I am so looking forward to buying the RSP2. In my case, I am running a Mac (OSX 10.6), and equally enjoy Ham/Shortwave and VHF/UHF monitoring. There are lots of applications out there that will handle the former by simply selecting a frequency and listening. There are few choices which actually work as a scanner where you have a bank of frequencies and the instant one becomes active, it is instantly selected for listening, then returns to scanning when inactive. For Mac users, there is only one option - SdrDx. This is a very beautiful and functional free application, but is not currently supporting RSP2 or even RSP1. The author reports that there are currently over 10,000 Mac users which have started his application within the last 30 days. It seems like you have a lot of potential customers (like me) who are eagerly awaiting a quality SDR receiver so that we can upgrade from our 8-bit dongles. Please contact the author (Ben) and work out a pairing of these two great products and support for Mac users. You have an application writer who would be enthusiastic about adding your great hardware to his supported list. This is the perfect option for you to bring in the Mac community with a fantastic hardware/software pairing.

Just picked up the SDRPlay RSP Pro, works great love it. Performance is similar to my Elad but at a lower cost. Love the SDRuno software, need a better native solution for Mac OS, the SDR Cubic is a bit clunky.

I agree with the "clunky" here.

Can we get this unit in the US now? What is the price in US dollars?
@af4k7 жыл бұрын
Does this have a metal case now? I would expect that for this price level, rather than plastic.

A question, unpon installing the software on my computer, am I able to install the software agai on say a laptop and use it one either. My RSP2 long wire conector (green one) is not labled on the box, which connector do I attach the long wire to?? In fact what are each of the three for?
@SDRplayRSP6 жыл бұрын
You can install the software on as many machines as you like. We recommend start here registration on the first machine (in case you have initial problems and need our support). But subsequent installations on other machines can be done direct from www/sdrplay.com/downloads Here's a guide to the green connector: www.sdrplay.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/161201HighZPortGuidev2.pdf Many more guides (video and written) are available from our searchable apps support catalogue: www.sdrplay.com/apps-catalogue/

John, how can I install all the software needed to run my SDRPlay2? I've had it for a year or more and can not find SN. I have tried it in 3 computers and it never worked even trying 4 antennas. I am going to try one more computer but it wants the SN before it lets me download software. Seeing it's but a while I have no idea where it is. The next place will be a target at the range. A problem from day ONE.
@SDRplayRSP6 жыл бұрын
Hello - Usually the serial number is on a printed label on the back of the unit. However if this is not the case, you can go straight to www.sdrplay.com/downloads/ and download any of our software without needing a serial number. The serial number is only needed when you go via our "Start Here" option - Also, if you use our SDRuno or Simon Brown's SDR Console on Windows or Cubic SDR on other platforms, these will tell you the serial number. We can provide one on one help if you get in touch directly with us - you can raise a ticket by going to www.sdrplay.com/support/

Will the software work on Apple Mac or only Win PC?
@kk6vqq-tim7818 жыл бұрын
The RSP2 looks terrific. I would probably buy one but your Windows-only software is a deal-breaker. Hopefully you'll develop a MacOS version, perhaps by the time of Dayton in May when so many new products will be announced.

A great piece of gear but I do not understand why SMA connectors are used for antenna connections -- these are very flimsy and yawl should have used BNC connectors for all three antenna ports in my opinion (ham radio operator NK7B, on the air since 1957).
