Introducing... the T-VE

Our all-electric Defender truly is the ultimate in go-anywhere vehicles. You can drive through the centre of London without any ULEZ charge worries or out in the Yorkshire dales green-laning and know you are leaving a carbon footprint that a Toyota Prius could only dream of.
As with every one of our Twisted builds, this all-electric T90 has been built with a level of craftsmanship and finesse that cannot be replicated. Built from the ground up, every element of this car has been touched by our technicians and the result is truly incredible. The electric components and running gear are completely modular so as technology improves individual components can be upgraded meaning the car is future proof and should last you a lifetime. With 268 bhp and a range of around 210km, this Defender still maintains all of its off-road credentials including Hi/Lo box, differential lock and wading depth. Departure and approach angles are unaffected and all batteries and associated technologies are fitted within the existing chassis architecture and in place of the fuel tank and combustion engine.
Two drive modes are available: Eco and Sport. Both have different characteristics benefitting either range or performance and use regenerative braking to either increase range or rolling resistance. Unlike some other electric resto-mods, every component is brand new and not from a crash-damaged vehicle.
The exterior is finished in corris grey metallic with a contrast black soft top and is fitted with our signature 18” classic wheels and BF Goodrich all terrain tyres. Stopping power is provided by our Twisted by Alcon 6 pot front brakes and 4 pot rears and of course the chassis has been coated to protect it against road salt and the like. Our progressive suspension system is also fitted giving a fantastically controlled and predictable feel whilst delivering a supremely engaging drive. Working in harmony with the suspension we have been careful to mount the batteries low down keeping the centre of gravity balanced, not top heavy and wallowy. All of the exterior fixings have been replaced with stainless and the loadspace protected with texture coating.
Inside seating comes by way of our Twisted trimmed Recaro’s finished in black nappa with a contrast green stitch. Our Twisted steering wheel allows more space and better driver control than the standard bulky item. The cab has been soundproofed and carpeted so the small amount of noise from the electric motor is largely eliminated. The standard media has been replaced with our double din set up incorporating DAB radio, satellite navigation, reverse camera and Apple CarPlay. Beneath this sits the touch screen control module for the vehicle and the standard gear levers have been rendered useless. A quick touch of the screen and surrounding buttons allows forward or reverse gears to be selected along with hi/lo box or difflock.
This has to be the most up to date, hand-built vehicle available in the market today. Originally built by the men and women on the production line in Solihull it has since been re-built by our elite technicians and taken to a whole new level. This really does epitomise our brand mantra: “The best made better”
