I would love to see a system that you can interchange everything! if these needles were a little shorter and the back end could screw off and accommodate a cable or longer metal piece (to make the straight needle longer if needed/wanted )to make it circular or straight I'd be in heaven. As I buy newer needles I get obsessed with them and tend not to use the old ones lol, all about newer ways to work with my tools.

That was my first thought when I saw this... I would go for interchangeable circulars from Susan Bates... I've always loved Bates "Quicksilver" needles, but even like the multi-colored aluminum ones. Stopped using straights decades ago. The only straights I use now are 5 DPs for socks.

kind of off topic and love the interchangeable idea but what is the shawl pattern you are wearing in the video....love the pattern and would like to have it in my library!

Do you have a video on how to knit in the round, especially the joining part? Also, my Susan bates keep unscrewing while I knit. This makes me shy away from using them.

I don't use straights, and none of the knitters I know either. This would have been a great idea for circulars.

I've never seen these in stores but I've seen them online and they're incredibly expensive, especially (as many knitters have said) for straights which few knitters still use. I'm going to echo what everyone else is saying: come up with a set of interchangeable circulars instead where you can change cable lengths AND the tips. It'll save people from having to buy one set of needles for regular knitting and another with sharper tips for lace knitting.

These are beautiful needles and I love the concept. Any idea when/if they will be coming out in circular needles? I don't use straights too much anymore. How about with DPNs?
