Regarding building houses, I would absolutely love it if the game could provide us with floor plans or let us design floor plans before getting to work. Building a house from scratch is very difficult, especially for regular players who aren't used to it. Having a floor plan to follow or a way to design floor plans in advance would be very helpful!

virtually all the stuff i wish i could do in HF1 will be possible! im so excited😭 like someone else mentioned, i hope this means tiles and wallpaper will also be able to be placed individually. i like placing tiles as a backsplash in kitchens, but currently i can only do it using tiles from the workshop. HF2 has been in my wishlist from the moment it was anounced lol

Changes sound cool, so long as they are not too tedious. Trash bags are fine unless they flood the house. The new painting has me loving the creative possibilities, but I do worry it may be too easy to paint over other things. I also did not seen clean lines as the painting was in progress. Beyond this, I think next level would be paint mixing. Some of the best additions in DLC were new paint colors, so being able to have more color control than ever would be my ideal.

I hope you can choose what mode of painting you want.. The new way to paint is going to be great on big walls but around small parts, like above doors and windows, is going to be difficult. For example if you want white around the windows (on the inside walls) but another color above its going to hard to do that. I don't want to paint the doorframes either. And if you want two diffrent colors ita going to be hard to get a straight line.. So if you could choose it would be great!

Don’t worry, it seems like it detects little paint mistakes and corrects it when you finish painting so there won’t be paint on doorframes and making little lines will be easy :)

Agreed, window cleaning is my least favorite task so that would make changing the colors of walls super tedious if that's the only way to do it

I love how you’re able to criticise your own game and its issues publicly. Couldn’t imagine it was an easy game to make as an indie developer and as your first flipper game it was definitely very well done at least. Cant wait to see the improvements in 2!

I hope wallpaper and wall tiles are able to be placed individually as well. Or at least be able to do a half wall with wallpaper/tile and then the other half paint of my own design and choosing. These changes seem excellent so and I can't wait for HF2!!!

These new changes look amazing! please don't skip out on adding more furniture and content though, I always struggled in the original game with it not having certain objects such as a chest freezer, a pole and coat hangers to put in a closet, or general damaged furniture which is a style I really like giving houses.

I wish we could paint over wood panels to change its color. For exemple, i'd like to put wood pine panels but add a wash of white on top, or green or any! Can't wait for House flipper 2!!!

My opinion is you are all extremely talented, this game already looks incredible. House Flipper (the original) was a masterpiece, this one will be just the same. I am so happy with how everything is turning out.

Regarding the trashbag situation, I'd love to have it built up in the way that depending on the X amount of items (in a weighted system, where each item has a set number that decides the size) in the garbage bag, the bag would expand and just become bigger and bigger when you let them lie around, it would also be an incentive for upgrade skills to "trash takes less space in bags" and maybe you could even implement some sort different containers you could buy to throw the trash in. And while it would be funny to see stupid big bags, it would probably be a bit more fun if you got some sort of message "How would this fit??" while trying to put it in a container that obviously wouldn't fit. Only to result with the bag ripping open and leaving a gigantic mess on the ground, making it so that players would have to try and keep it in mind on how much they throw with each bag.

I'm glad that it now seems you can create some outlandish structures, not just your average suburban home. I'm hoping though that since you guys have no problem having supernatural or unrealistic settings in it, like the haunted house or space home on the moon, I'd be very interested to see what wacky settings you have in store for HF2, maybe a post-apocalypse home perhaps where the apocalypse buyers return and you have the renovate the house with barricades and buy a emplacement gun. That'd be soo friggin cool!

You say you were worried about how the players would receive your redesign of the wall building/painting mechanics but honestly i think you've done an excellent job - well done. Its a little disappointing that you can't paint freehand as I'd have liked to paint murals that weren't limited to only pixel art - however I understand that this is purely a limitation of the voxel system. Keep up the fantastic work!

I believe it will be very nice if you add interactions that are not in the first game, such as sitting on the sofa. I play the game not only to design and paint, but also to live in it, so I would appreciate it if you could increase the number of items we can interact with. Interactions such as sitting on the sofa or lying on the bed should be added to the game, I think it would be nice if we could adjust the level of the lights in the night ambiance.

This looks amazing!!! Do you think in "sandbox" we're going to be able to use "old mechanics"? Like, changing between this way of building walls and how it was on HF1, I mean, I would love to be detailed creating walls and all, but I think I would like to create the stripe of infinite wall in one go. Unless you have something similar planned for this type of "building walls", then all's good. Also, please consider more fabric patterns or different ones for couches, covers, and all of that. Honestly that's the only thing I'm totally not a fan of the first game. We lacked "nice designs" Thank you guys for your amazing work!!!!

Very exciting. I will be getting this when it's ready. One thing I always had trouble with in HF1, paving squares. It was hard or impossible to make things fit right, and the patterns wouldn't line up, and it was just frustrating. I would love to be able to lay paving like we can do with flooring inside the house. Click a square on the ground, drag to the other corner and Ping! here is your new herringbone driveway. Or simple and easy to make a walkway around the house that meshes with the pattern of the driveway and walkway to the front door that already exists.

Fantastic introduction to HF2! You can see how much time and work has gone into the creation of this game with LOTS of feedback from fans and players everywhere. I honestly cannot wait to see what else you have in store to make this an amazing game that gives everyone that refreshed feeling for the very beloved House flipper. I am glad that you are concerned about game mechanics, and making sure they aren't tedious. What first pulled me into House Flipper was actually a very different game, Viscera Cleanup Detail... which I didn't like very much. Cleaning up in that game could be very tedious, even punishing; it was easy to make a mistake and make things messier instead of cleaner. Therefore the less tedious and less punishing gameplay of House Flipper very much appealed to me! If only I could clean up things in real life like I can in the game, I'd be set for life!

I'm so excited and i like a lot of the things being added. I'm hoping to see possible weather damage and stuff touched on like how it was kinda lightly touched in the first game with the snow piles and such. (like with how a roof that doesn't get taken care of can get holes and leak or if you don't have your house heated and your pipes winterized and insulated they can burst - old wiring can cause all sorts of hazards- but maybe all that's too stressful and complicated) Thank you for also still working on HF1 sometimes with a 2nd game being worked on the first game tends to get almost abandoned so thank you for that.

I am SO EXCITED for HF2!! I've been playing since original release and have enjoyed all the DLCs (except for the pets, but it's on the wishlist!) This update has me pretty stoked, adding the new placements of walls is definitely the perfect touch. I also like the concept of the trash bags, adds some immersion to the game. Are there going to be skillpoints for upgrading cleaning up areas? (Ie. Bigger trash bags, increasing the area you can pick up of trash at a time?) Very excited to see what you guys update next! Keep up the hard work and don't crunch too hard.

The trash pickup looks like a copy of how it is in Gas Station Simulator. Kind of a bummer since it's a bit tedious in that game having to toss garbage bags into a dumpster. Guess we'll see how much each bag holds in this game and whether it is a tedious.

Me neither.... I am a HUGE fan of House Flipper and I definitely love the amount of freedom in creativity HF2 will offer, but I really do not like the cartoony/stylized graphic style of this one. If it stays that way, I am afraid I will stick to the first game...

@@HouseFlipperGame to me everything looks exciting so far, except for two things: 1) The new trash mechanics feels repetitive and tedious, especially on houses with multiple floors where you'll have to carry the bags outside one by one. In first game getting rid of trash was satisfying, now its just tedious. I understand its unrealistic, but not everything needs to be realistic in games, especially since people find the previous mechanics satisfying and enjoyable. 2) The new painting mechanics. I get the idea of giving freedom and such, but its gonna be very difficult to simply paint in straight, neat lines, also its so easy to paint over unwanted objects, such as doors etc. I think there should be a way to switch between HF1 and HF2 painting mechanics, depending on what you want to do. Wanna paint neat, one color wall? Use HF1 mechanics. Wanna do pixel art? Switch to HF2. It would give people more options and not be so tedious. HF1 paint mechanics was one of the main things that made the game so satisfying so I think that should be kept in mind. Hope that helps! :)

@@codelyoko226 Weird take, imo. It's not like it takes very long to run over to a dumpster and throw a load of trash in. We're talking a matter of seconds. In a game about cleaning up houses. Total non-issue if you ask me. I don't know why you'd want the old painting back either, you can clearly do vertical stripes as shown in the video and it doesn't look difficult in the slightest. The paint overlapping the edges just fades away after a few seconds.

I just got into the first game, amazing but sadly the first game is lagging on ps5, I am glad this is, I love the game but adding tiles was TIRESOME and not enjoyable, I do hope it is close to what those bricks where like

I hope any DLC will be made with consoles in mind instead of giving all of them to PC. Loved the original HF but only two DLCs became available for console and quite frankly I felt like we were put on the backburner.
