If you’re just starting out on the road to longevity, you should know that you’re not alone…there are many of us on the same path. I thought that I’d share my story, in the hopes that maybe some of you can relate.
Every human has two points on that journey that are identical: they’re born and they die. Everything in between is up for grabs, and it’s not about just separating those two points with as much time as possible. It’s about making sure that we spend that time being as healthy, as active and as vibrant as we can.
My parents not only got old, but they also became frail, weak and afflicted with chronic disease. So did my grandparents. I decided to break that cycle, and not only live as long as I possibly could, but to stay as young as I possibly could for the journey.
My hope is that by sharing that journey with you, you might come to realize what’s possible, and embark on a similar journey of your own.
Welcome aboard!

Subscribed. Was glad to find that someone is tying together current scientific research and making it accessible to more people. Ive been running,lifting weights my entire life; albeit with lapses when my profession was my singular focus 45-55. I had the same epiphany at 55 and refined my lifestyle with emphasis on what I consume, meditation, fasting and exercise. There is so much information available on how folks can live healthier lives. Good luck in your endeavors!

If you are new to this channel or the idea of reversing aging - congratulations! You've found one of the best sources of solid, real life information. I subscribed to this channel when there were only a few hundred and it is one of the small handful I watch every time a new video is released. For the new guys, I suggest you take your time and go through the play list Lance provided. Then jump around on a few searches to build an awareness of some the terms and conditions he introduces. Next, go back, review the play list and follow up by going through all of the videos. Again, when introduced to new terminology and ideas, search them out, get comfortable with them, then return to the channel. By doing that, you can rapidly come up to speed on a life changing, longevity enhancing way of life that will put you way out front of just about everyone on this plant. Along the way, I suggest you pick up a copy (and read) Change or Die by Alan Deutchman. Make the choice if you will be in the top 10% and change now or choose to die in the rather short term along with the bottom 90%.

Awesome! It's only a few weeks since KZbin algorithm has led me to this super exciting subject of longevity. I am watching different scientific videos. As a 76 year old fairly healthy woman it is quite challenging to make a significant change happen. I am glad I found you of similar age. David Sinclair as well as Peter Attia have become guides so far. But it is so much more out there. Exercise is one big subject to persue. Another how to pick the right supplements among many. And to be clear that at the end it's mainly about living a happy fulfilling lifespan while genuinely contribute to wellbeing of all who/that shares time and space on our planet.

I've just discovered you today and I'm very impressed by how well explained are your thoughts on longevity and how well executed seems your plan. We need more access to good information and more people like you who are willing to push the boundaries of what we think is possible in the field of longevity. We are closer than we think of seeing someone living past 122 years and 164 days and in good shape both physically and cognitively. Maybe you will be one of those who achieve that huge milestone. Reaching the Moon in the sixties was difficult but this goal is even more ambitous and complex. Keep up the good work and keep sharing your progress. This is the way.

Congratulations on your progress. Just found your video. We seem to have a lot in common. I too found Tony Horton, me in 2012, and he started me on the long slow road then. I ve made progress (220 to 175) then regressed (192) but learned a lot along the way. Blew off "white food" in 2018, and joined the gym in early '19. Found a string of scientists and doctors online involved in aging science. I'll add you to that this now. Your explanations are worth listening to. Thanks!

What is "white food"?
@CJP3626
@CJP3626 2 жыл бұрын
@@schechter01 When my Dad was diagnosed with heart disease in 1989, he was told to lose weight. My mother put him on a strict diet and over a year he went from 220 to 170. When I had visited them at that time, I noticed all the "white food" that is- potatoes, bread, ice cream, pastries, etc- former staples when I was a kid, were gone from their plates, leaving just meat and vegetables. So when I finally decided I needed to change my lifestyle ( same age- 63, weight (220) and, not coincidentally, but undiagnosed at the time, same disease (ASCVD) as Dad) it seemed like at way to get started. After a 4 vessel by-pass in 1990, the two of them spent the next 20 years "mall walking" together every morning. Dad passed away at 90, not of a heart attack, but more of heartbreak after losing his partner of 65 years. Over the last 4 years, I've learned a lot about nutrition (it's not what you think, as they say on SM, it's actually way easier), exercise, and the U.S. health care system. My Dr. actively discouraged me from getting a follow-up coronary calcium score for 10 YEARS! In 2005 I had a score of 70. When I finally demanded one this year, it came back with a catastrophically high score, 95th percentile of living subjects, exactly as the math predicted, calcification of the arteries will advance 25% per yr. Drs don't like to look for problems.

Great intro. Maybe I'm weird, but I've been interested Life Extension since my early teens. Lots of reasons for it, but majorly, I have always been genuinely happy guy that loves life and I want to live as much of it that I can! I'm 25 right now, but over the years, I've always gotten confused on what I can currently actively do. There's often conflicting data on medications and it's hard to parse out the scams. Finding someone that can help guide is really nice. Your channel so far has already helped me a ton. Keep up the great work, from all the video's I've seen so far, you're very inspirational and I'm excited to learn more. Lastly, thank you for your service. Welcome home sir :)

I understand you are 82- that’s awesome, as you look very good for your age, and have good energy. I am 68 (icon picture below, from 2019). I am often told i look like i’m in my late 30’s/early 40’s) and my blood work, heart, lack of grey hair, full head of hair and just about no wrinkles help support that- especially since my entire family went bald after greying, (males for generations, starting at late 30’s), or severely thinned snd very grey by late 40’s/early 50’s on the women’s side. I have done a fair amount of optimized nutrition and specially engineered supplements, which people tell me I should do a YT channel- if I only had the time…. I have found that my near-sightedness has sort of self-corrected, as I stopped needing any glasses about 10 years ago- they say you get more far-sighted as you get older, so maybe that’s it.

Yes, when I first was putting the course together, I planned on offeringit for $497. I offered it to the Beta group for $187. But it was on their recommendation that I decided to lower the price to $97. By the way, I've stolen nothing. I've scoured the medical publications for a lot of the info I've presented on this channel, but my words are my own. And I stand by them. Sure, longevity science is unproven on humans, and will remain so for another 50 to 70 years. Human live a long time and we'll have to have someone who's practiced longevity science live past 122 to prove that it works. That's not gonna happen for a long time.
