Thank you for teaching me more in 7 minutes than I have learned from my professor in 15 weeks.

Yeah, this was well done but 15 weeks just for molecular orbitals?

Covalent bonds are molecular orbitals. Mindshattering.

at 4:30 didn't you mean to say that the reason it forms is because the initial energy is higher than the final?
@AbdullahAbdullah-qf7fv8 жыл бұрын
you're just incredible in explaining the things in a very simple way. thank u AK lectures

At 4:39 was it right that energy of initial atoms is lower than the final ? Because actually it must be higher ?

I think that was a mistake

@6:45 when you say that we will form two MOs does this mean that when two AOs come together there are two situations happening simultaneously? One anitibonding MO and one bonding MO?
@JohnSmith-xo9me5 жыл бұрын
Ray R depends on the number of electrons. The bonding MOs are filled up before the anti bonding MOs. But Yh if there are enough electrons this will happen simultaneously

so, if they molecule were to continue to press into one another, they would collide, and not wanting to crash into one another, the electrostatic repulsions take over and cause the increase in energy again, giving them the momentum to spring off one another after the collision right
