His comments on pre-contact culture conflict sounds like a justification or rationale for post-contact brutality against native peoples.

Tim Harjo Yes, Harvey is talking about how the settlers rationalized and justified their behavior towards the natives. He however does not believe that justification excuses the atrocious acts committed.

@@Ecoean Asians(except south asians and other brown asians) were seen as white back in the day. The idea of asians as 'yellow' is extremely new

that interpretation of property values sounds off. No doubt, it was fueled by racism, but the history that led up to it and coming from it afterwards should be more telling. Whites did not want to be around blacks. (segregation was already in place) If whites did not want to live around blacks then they would not want to move to neighborhoods that had blacks. In such a case property values in such a mixed neighborhood would go down. Hence white flight, etc.

How come Jewz managed to do well despite discrimination? Would be interesting to know income and wealth disparity between these 2 groups Also, blacks do much better in sports than whites

To be honest, people from the asian continent - southwest asia(the middle east), south asia(the Indian subcontinent), south-east asia and east asia always have a mindset of sucess. They wanna get richer and richer. The LEGAL way of levelling up your household income is getting a better job, therefore you've got to study harder and become a lawyer, a doctor or an engineer
