The time spent reviewing these will save a tonne of time when using the software. Very conceptual teaching which is how I learn best. And for quick learners, your content works very well at 1.5x speed!😁

Lol. I can talk faster too 😊

A wonderful refresher course! Even for someone who has spent some very satisfying time with 3DLC your tutorials remind me that there are other ways to do common tasks. That is, we seem to form habits and routines to accomplish some effect (which, at that time, would be new to us) and we wouldn't easily retain more info. ... that there are, for example, keyboard shortcuts to accomplish it! Another example is the various ways you demonstrate to select points on this grid: I'd gotten so used to doing it one way that I forgot there are other (perhaps better!) ways to do that. Or your tip that the points on the grid can be reflected in the image itself by using ALT+left click. Sooo helpful! Thanks!

Thanks Howard for making these videos. I love the way you go through the program which makes it much easier to understand. I really struggled with Photoshop to correct a series of slide film images I took recently as they had a blue/green tint to them despite being daylight film. Using this software and following your actions has given me much better results. Thanks again.

Thanks for letting me know they are helpful Michael! It’s really an amazing piece of software but everything is so hidden and unintuitive. I’m actually learning more and more as I make these videos!

Excellent intro to C/L grid and what it exactly represents as compared to A/B grid. Looking forward to a practical example of its use for fine control of color luminosity next week. Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much Shane. Going to try to make the next one just that!

I followed your line of thoughts easily and recognized the difference between the roles and functions of A/B and CL grids. You are shining a light on colours that were in the dark. Thank you for a vision enhancer prescription for my eyes.

Hi Howard thanks for putting together this series on 3D LUT Creator. I had a go with the trial version of this software about a year ago and found that it worked poorly on the Mac, I purchased a copy about a week ago and I have found the same issue on my M1 Mac Mini. The software lags so much as to be almost unusable. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Thanks so much Colin! I’m a Windows user so it’s really difficult for me to comment on the Mac version. That said, I haven’t heard of any issues. But I do know that there are some Mac users that have commented on some of the prior videos. Perhaps, as you suggested, they might chime in here and let you know if they’ve had any issues.

hi, thanks for the awesome video and sharing your knowledge, is there any way to change color to specific Pantone number
@howardgrillphotography22803 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adward. Sorry, I am not familiar with a way to do that.

Actually now that I think of it perhaps this would work. At the top of the AB grid are two lines up too labeled Src (source) and Res (? Reset). They show the RGB values of the source point you grab and the RGB values you move it to. So if you knew the RGB values of the specific Pantone color you could grab any point and move it to those RGB values. Does that help at all??
