Thank you Howard for another in-depth tutorial on the sat/lum, sat.sat and luma/sat curves. That's a lot of fine tuned color control of our images. Looking forward to next week's example uses of these curves.

Thanks so much Shane. I’m trying to figure out the best timing to bring workflow in. Thinking of doing one more how to on the 2D curve panel and then going into examples. But will definitely get there!

@@howardgrillphotography2280 watched it/loved it. Looking forward to next week, as concret examples are always what nails it for me, although some theory is definitely needed with this awesome piece of software.

@@WilliamLesourd thanks so much William. I might put the workflow off a week in order to cover the last tab used for color manipulation…the 2D Curves. But I’ll try to out some concrete examples in with it as well!

There’s an Easter Egg within the curves also, not a lot of people know about it. Have to use a special function key to enable them
@howardgrillphotography22802 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Now you’ve whet my appetite! Would love to know about how to get to the egg!!??

His documentation is clear and lut itself has nothing to do with file size as per the 3DLC software developer's thesis. It does not affect the final result.

Hey Howard, Are you aware of any way to convert a 3rd party LUT into an ICC profile for Capture One? I have managed to convert it before but under closer inspection all the colours were completely wrong.
@howardgrillphotography22802 жыл бұрын
Hi! I don’t actually use Capture One so hard for me to say. What if you converted the image to whatever profile that is in Photoshop before importing it into 3DLC? I may not be understanding the question correctly or understanding the Capture One workflow though.
@DynastyUK2 жыл бұрын
@@howardgrillphotography2280 All it is is I do studio photography and Capture one tethering is much faster and more reliable than Lightroom. But the only way to use LUTS live, is by making them a ICC camera profile :( Which sucks as I like to see and show my clients the finished product. Anyway, your tutorials are really helping and opened up a whole new way or editing for me! :)
