I started the same way learning bulerias years ago, it’s the base for flamenco. If you have this base than it’s possible to incorporate falsetas de Tomatito and later on your own style

Bookmarked. THANK YOU!! I am a jack-of-all-trades, instrumentally - so never a master - but so much enjoyment!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! (Well, I did play for a few years with the Houston Symphony Orchestra as a French hornist in my early 20's and had an interesting piano career, too.) :-) I pray that I will be worthy of signing up for online lessons with you on Skype. I am not yet there - but there is hope!

Why buleria starts on 12 and not on 1?

12 is an accented beat, you can start on 1, but after the first compas it will not matter.

It may help you to call beat 12 your beat 1 and adjust the accents accordingly as in *1* 2 3 *4* 5 6 *7* 8 *9* 10 *11* 12
