Got the Same one, sitting in my barn, here in Maine. Had the snowthrower, but sold it.... You passed over one of the most important points- the Spring seat. Way more comfortable and bounce than what is made today 🙌. My daughter learned how to drive stick shift mowing the lawn on mine : )~

Very nice sir. Yes the spring seat is pretty cool. Awesome that your daughter got to enjoy the Sears rugged design and features.

I have an SS14 and SS12. I’m not using them yet but I plan to. These suburbans have really grown on me recently.

This was a fantastic video, thanks. I learned a lot about Sears tractors which are very rare over here in the UK. I love the original look of that tractor and it would be a shame to restore the paint. Great information about snow throwers and snow blowers, thanks. We are currently working on a 1970 Bolens 1253 which also was a one year tractor and even though it is only 12hp I guess it was one of the competitors. Excuse our lack of knowledge but we have two Roper tractors in our collection which appear to have the same hitch as your Sears. We have a three point for them and a tiller which has it's own 8hp B&S engine. I also noticed that the wheel weights look identical to the ones we have on our Cub Cadet Original. I would vote for one of these type of videos on each of your tractors

Thanks Joseph, Roper was the manufacturer who made many of Sears tractors. You can find nearly identical Ropers to many of the older Sears with different colors and decals. My SS’s wheel weights are generic cast iron weights that are 50 lbs each. The factory Sears weights are 33 lbs and are shaped more like a dinner plate. We have videos on most of our tractors. Thanks for the great comment.

It reminds me of my wife's John Deere 110 round fender. I bought it from a farmer who's dad bought it brand new I 1966. When I got to the farm to pick it up the guy says "Our other one won't fire up can we use it for one small job before you take it? " That small just was to pull a fully loaded hay wagon up to the barn doors .....talk about a load. I'm not a John Deere guy but that's impressive

My main is a Cub 1650, but for years I used a Sears ST-10. IT sits tarped in the back yard, and I should get it going again. Sadly I loaned it to a friend that didn't check the oil like Id told him. I didn't blow it up, but it sounded like heck so I just parked it.

That’s too bad about your Sears. I had an ST12 when I was a kid. Thanks for watching!
