I had a Caterham a few years back, and this reminds me of several miserable journeys in torrential rain, at night with the full 'hood' on, and one or two without a roof on. Caterhams aren't particularly good at stopping water ingress at the best of times, your head is at the height of most people's headlights, the wipers are tiny, the side and rear plastic windows mist up and even the heated windscreen wasn't much better. A 'half hood' is generally much better when you're actually driving.

I had to remind myself several times during this video that you surely survive because the footage has been edited and uploaded. Bloody hell! I love a drive in apocalyptic conditions but in an Invacar with no window and bungee chords holding things together... You're a brave man!

It is a thin line which separates bravery from stupidity.

I’ve made it into one of your videos!! Fittingly, at the side of the road drinking a cup of tea at Devils Bridge. We did that exact drive getting into New Quay just after 2pm so we missed the worst of it whilst driving. The lightening in New Quay I can only describe as apocalyptic! Bizarrely 30 minutes further on at Mwnt - glorious sunshine!

Easily your best caper for a while Mr H. I am sorry to admit I was belly laughing by the time the hail swept in. You truly capture the epic nature of even the most modest motoring endeavour and there is something of JB Boothroyd's classic true grit Motor if you Must on display here. Bravo !
