You can skip that complicated for the sake of being complicated item. Just hinge the desktop to the pull out like a dropleaf.

The alternative solution is easy and hassle-free, you can straighten and tilt it and don't need to make a curve.

First: you only need to make a straight diagonal rail from the point/end of the bottom rail to the top, starting right at 4.5 cm or slightly upwards on the second 9 cm grid. make the rail starting at that point until it joins the top arch (see distance 5.3 cm in the picture), the meeting point is there. There is no need to make arches.

Saunders prefab furniture made this cabinet out of compressed wood but instead of the small top of stationery cabinet (with collapsed slide out desk and two shelf cabinet inside) the top was itself a full desk top made , 1”d x 2-1/2’w x 4’ long, with a cut out underneath for chair in middle and a printer sized, two tier, pullout cabinet to the left of chair. A wonderful desk that I used for years before particle board began crumbling at connectors. Glad you’ve brought the most helpful design back into view. Very useful indeed. Thank you for the dimensional graphics. You have done very good work of video and explanation. 😊
