This game seems awesome with a ton of potential! The amount of choices and organization you needed to make in this run to get the most out of the backpack really delivers on the game's promise. Also, I have to say the music is excellent!

Was disappointed that managing the inventory space itself ends long before the endgame. Got somewhat lucky and beat the game on my first try though.

Upon hearing the description I thought to myself “there’s no way this’ll be fun” but after watching I found myself saying “ok this actually looks real fun” and instantly went to back the game

Nice run, I hope to see you play more of this. That last boss is nasty vs many small attacks. There's a few possible counters though (none of which you had); there's an item that adds 'removes spikes from enemies' to weapons, there's vampirism and heal on hit effects. Still a much easier fight with a build that can tank him for a few turns while stacking damage buffs, then one shot him. Stacking effects like spikes wear off a stack per turn, so even if you need to hit to build up you can take it slower to keep his spikes less than your armor. There are ways to get armor much, much higher than you had. Btw, your glass bottle caused the last 4 shivs you acquired to all be useless as you put them next to helm/shield.

When I was trying out magic builds, my luck ring happened to give me a ring of doom very early. I grabbed every mana stone I could find and just kept pumping the club so they were simply unable to damage my health through the armor while their armor could do nothing. I found a wizard robe and the ancient tome so I could turn energy into mana, and just plain regain mana. Then I found the metallic wand; gains damage for each connected mana stone which ended up giving it a base of 34 from having half of my bag filled with stones. On top of that I had the stopwatch which adds a point of damage everytime a weapon is used. End result: first turn is spent dumping all of my mana into powering the metallic wand with the ring of doom, using all energy on the ancient tome, and proceeding to vaporize everyone in front of me. I have never been so absurdly powerful in a video game before or since.

Yeah some stuff gets really powerful if you are lucky enough like on my second run I lucked into Cursed Blade and thought it looked cool and might as well try and make it work (cursed blade 6 base damage for 1 energy and it deals +6 damage for each adjacent and diagonal curse) Wasn't sure what curses to get and how to best get them but when I bumped into the Queen Bee boss which probably give you the best curse "Curse of Honey". Which is small 1 size curse with no effect other than costing 1 energy to remove. So for 1 energy Cursed Blade dealt 78 damage Not quite as absurd but more than good enough to get me through the game without learning much other than that Cursed Blade is pretty good (when you get it early enough)

i don't know why he kept the sword after getting that 2nd cleaver? the double cleaver strike is so much better than the sword for less space!

I was more concerned with him keeping the spike helmet in the slot where it doesn't do anything, except disable his 3 shivs

It's also *really* easy to notice things that players don't when you're not the one playing. It's easy to get focused on certain things and miss others; most folks just don't have thousands of strangers noticing it.

I love how the King has the one thibg that directly counters your build. This game takes me back to that flash game in Kongregate called Help the Hero. Great game.

This game is amazing and the updates have been so good lately. Love the content as always. Just a couple of tips: When you reorganize you can reset the position and rotation of items that move (like dragonfly and the letter) Whenever you go for multihit build (shivs/hatchets/cleavers) you need to get something to remove buffs from enemies otherwise you lose to thorns (there's a shield, potion, wand and relic for that). That final boss you got is not the only enemy that gets +1 thorns per damage too, so you can lose even early if not careful.

I've been playing this game for days, theres several fun builds to try, my personal favorite being Archery, but chef/cleaver and house builds are fun/funny too. Love this game, glad to see a video on it.

Luck means at the end of your turn, you are more likely to find rarer items, such as legendary... and you should have taken the piggy bank.

The piggy bank didn't matter too much as he wasn't really utilizing any shops so his gold was just taking space

I would love a series on this, or at least a few videos since the game is fairly short. I just love the idea, it's fresh and new, and there are plenty of builds you can play and shenanigans that you can build on. I want this game to go places because the idea is very awesome to me

I love this. I believe in tis game because it seems like a new, natural evolution. For everything Reto plays, I'm on the same wavelength for about 90% of it and this one definitely looks to scratch that itch.

Great game Reto, hope this game to be a series. Beaten it myself, the King is brutal. My run destroyed the king with exponentially growing amount of spikes, so I beat the king with his own strategy. I wonder what your victory build will look like, good luck!

Just so you know, Seasoning can be really strong. It adds +10 heal to adjacent consumables. That can turn the Water Skin into one of the most powerful healing items. You get 4 uses, so 40 healing, and +4 energy. Not to mention other items like fish that can be used for whatever they do while being healed. Seasoning is one of my favorites.

I dont know if anyone else saw this but the glass bottle relic would’ve given the +6 to all weapons effect to every weapon, giving each of his weapons +36 damage (or+30 if it doesn’t buff itself) and he could’ve just gone through like half the game easily

I've used earthstone blade with it sticking out of a little nook in the top left of my backpack. My GOD is that sword BUSTED if built properly.

My first game of this i got stuck in an infinite loop, fought a slime that regenerated more heal per turn than i could deal, but i also had 1 dodge per turn so it couldnt kill me.

Spoiler for the King fight: Projectiles (like arrows) do not trigger Spike damage if I remember correctly. Idk if its changed, but Archery is like a better Cleaver build to begin with
