100% correct! I started investing at age 23 and I retired at 47. Been living overseas and traveling the past 17 years. Selling the house and off to SE Asia next year for a 5 year period. Start investing as soon as you can. Dividend stocks paying 4-8% is what we did, every month, rain or shine. The first 100k is tough.... but then it starts to snowball! Invest and prosper!

Fair enough. One of my goals as I get older is to reduce (or eliminate) sources of anxiety. To that end, I stick to index funds. Sure, investing in things like NVDA would have done better, at least recently, but with that comes a lot of stress. Diversifying reduces (but does not eliminate) the stress. Same for holding fixed income - obviously it can reduce returns (although it can also increase returns, depending on what plays out, at least short term), but it also reduces the stress.

Wal Street insider here. I've worked as a financial adviser and analyst. I predicted the 2008 financial crisis in detail, so let me simply investing for you. The fact is, although dividends are good, neither you nor most everyone else has the ability to beat the market over the long term. Investing is a competitive game. There are two teams. It's like football. You are either the smart money or the dumb money. Wall Street and other pros are the smart money. The dumb money is the retail crowd. You have no ability to outcompete other investors. Therefore, the best advice for 90-95% of people is to just buy the S&P 500 Index fund and forget about trying to pick stocks because you will NEVER beat the index in the long run unless you have a sustainable competitive advantage. No one reading this has a sustainable competitive advantage when it comes to investing.

I'm curious how much money needed in investment's to achieve 2000 USD a month?

Think about the rate of return If your dividend stocks get you 2000 a month What is the amount with 5 percent? 6 percent How about 8 percent This is how you calculate it :-) Higher rates are often riskier ok? Remember that

Made 8% on my money with Bitcoin last week. Why do you keep leaving that emerging markets etf you used to mention? Like it or not 8% in the last week is pretty good money and 100% in the last year is light years ahead of anything (actually 144%). Slow and easy is great but I can cash out right now if I want to, but we'll let it ride baby up, down sideways and to the moon.

@@RetireandGo Unfortunately those stocks we know as "safe" arent keeping up with inflation is actuality. You can always set your sell point. I dont trust anything anymore thats why I started with Bitcoin, many people are learning the same thing now. The market will be great until they quit buying the debt, then its toast. Its not good news but its inevitable.

Hey man, been a fan of your content for a long time. I was wondering if you don’t care about the stains on your clothes at all. I understand you cycle through them often, while usually hand washing them on your own to save money. Maybe as a younger guy no retired yet, basic appearance still bothers me. I feel like black, and grey tees would be better for this life style. I know it’s not a priority, just a curiosity

When you get older (and wiser) you will realize that you spent way too much time worrying about largely irrelevant matters, like always looking "perfect" to others (i.e. stain-free ironed clothing) 🙃

Another great video. Basically you need a base of around $400k + paying you a dividend yield of around 5-6%. This will fluctuate up and down. This will give you a rough income of around $24k per annum give or take. You can get these returns by just investing in 1 or 2 diversification ETF’s. there is no right or wrong way. He has hit the nail on the head though, invest every month!
