100% correct! I started investing at age 23 and I retired at 47. Been living overseas and traveling the past 17 years. Selling the house and off to SE Asia next year for a 5 year period. Start investing as soon as you can. Dividend stocks paying 4-8% is what we did, every month, rain or shine. The first 100k is tough.... but then it starts to snowball! Invest and prosper!

Finding your chats valuable, not monetary but holistically. In Penang i found a Chinese acupuncturist in Georgetown. 5000 year old, no pain, no blood, surgery. Fair enough. One of my goals as I get older is to reduce (or eliminate) sources of anxiety. To that end, I stick to index funds. Sure, investing in things like NVDA would have done better, at least recently, but with that comes a lot of stress. Diversifying reduces (but does not eliminate) the stress. Same for holding fixed income - obviously it can reduce returns (although it can also increase returns, depending on what plays out, at least short term), but it also reduces the stress.

Since learning about increasing returns as a kid, I love investing. I know many men - no kids no divorce - in their 30s who invested and retired to live off of interest. For me it took a little longer due to a few detours. This should be taught in school - but then where would the wage slaves come from? I'm glad you are spreading this knowledge. Keep up the great work and growing your channel. You should consider making an exclusive content course on your investment strategies.

I’m a bit late to this party but I have been investing in Dividend stocks and etfs that pay dividends too for about a year now, I’ve been able to save 12,000 this year and have 3 accounts one is just growth stocks, one is a single REIT (won’t do that again once it matures) the 3 rd I have about 9,000 in and make about 850.00 annually with it, It’s just a start but it will grow and I’ll keep adding to it and I’ll be doing the same thing before I know it.

Hoping to hit my monthly goal in my brokerage account by this time next year. If it happens, I'll sell my current home (not much equity in this one) and head to SE Asia. But you're a pretty young guy, certainly have a few years on me, so doesn't not having a family( wife & kids ) weigh a bit heavily on you. I setup my Vanguard account many years ago to automatically invest daily into 3 index funds: vfiax, vitax and vhyax. (voo, vgt, vym etf equivalents). On average I make 8%/year. People that claim they don’t know how to invest are most often lazy and/or complacent, in my opinion. Those who have access to the internet can easily learn about investing without spending excessive time on the subject. People make time to piss around on Facebook, TikTok, KZbin, etc., yet “don’t have time” to learn about investing. It’s pure baloney. You don’t even have to read anymore, you can learn by watching KZbin videos . A great many people are unmotivated/lazy/procrastinators, & that’s the uncomfortable truth!

I retired at 50 ….S & P 500 Index funds are a good way to go. If those companies can’t make money…no one can.😀 The most risky Investments are marriages , mistresses & business partnerships . At least if the markets tank …..history has shown they recover . If Wives , mistresses & shady business partners clear out with your investments…..they’re gone forever. Another Tip for foreign men coming to these idyllic destinations to retire….If you don’t want kids …get yourself snipped…..but don’t tell anyone.😀 if the girls know there’s No chance of the Visa baby …..they won’t come near you. Over the years I’ve lost count of men with kids in disfunctional relationships here get totally rinsed both financially & mentally .

@@rb5534 You have to be careful what you eat and drink. If you are here long enough your stomach gets use to it. If food doesn't look fresh then don't eat it. When you go out say no ice or ask if its filtered ice and order bottle of water. At home you can boil your water if you don't have a filter. Buying water is quite cheap so you can just buy a few big bottles for 30-50 cents.

Wal Street insider here. I've worked as a financial adviser and analyst. I predicted the 2008 financial crisis in detail, so let me simply investing for you. The fact is, although dividends are good, neither you nor most everyone else has the ability to beat the market over the long term. Investing is a competitive game. There are two teams. It's like football. You are either the smart money or the dumb money. Wall Street and other pros are the smart money. The dumb money is the retail crowd. You have no ability to outcompete other investors. Therefore, the best advice for 90-95% of people is to just buy the S&P 500 Index fund and forget about trying to pick stocks because you will NEVER beat the index in the long run unless you have a sustainable competitive advantage. No one reading this has a sustainable competitive advantage when it comes to investing.

Like it or not 8% in the last week is pretty good money and 100% in the last year is light years ahead of anything (actually 144%). Hey man, been a fan of your content for a long time. I was wondering if you don’t care about the stains on your clothes at all. Another great video. Basically you need a base of around $400k + paying you a dividend yield of around 5-6%. This will fluctuate up and down. This will give you a rough income of around $24k per annum give or take. You can get these returns by just investing in 1 or 2 diversification ETF’s. there is no right or wrong way. He has hit the nail on the head though, invest every month!
