One trip on live leak or edgy private’s instagram profiles and I also am pretty used to this stuff. I don’t think this is a cult, it’s just a bunch of edgy assholes. Making memes about cringe kpop fans is fun and all but this is just way too dark and traumatizing for some people to be considered funny. However, scarecams are pretty funny. Putting jump scares in seemingly normal videos is prank tier levels of fun. Thought putting actual gruesome content is not fun.

*How to stay safe:* 1.) Dont watch out of curiosity, trust me, been there done that. it was not cute and I had a panic attack. 2.) Turn off auto play and dms. 3.) Since this has spread to most platforms and you cant turn off auto play on most platforms, keep scrolling or check the profile first to see if this bio has that weird symbol or if it says "slit" "slits" or "slitz" (most of the time they put that in their name). Also if your looking at someones profile on Instagram and theres a thing on most of their posts that says "sensitive content" that's also a sign. 4.) If you see one of these videos PLEASE report and block. dont talk to them. these people are sick and Psycho dont mess with them. 5.) DONT make any online kpop freinds for the time being, these people are also trying to be young kpop fans freinds, manipulating them into telling them personal stuff like credit card number, social security number, house address. Another rule is do not under any circumstances DM them, I think one of my mutuals dmed a few, telling them to F off and they sent him some of the gore fan cams, and gore pics. As someone who uses Twitter often, I got a Dm from one of these accounts who started the whole "fancam thing". I firstly received a message which was "What are you afraid of?" Then 4 minutes later they literally sent a fancam, never watched that bc I got the warning from some of my friends who rt stuff a lot. The video was marked as "sensitive content" and I found out about the dm thing only 7 hours later. What a weird experience.. Even if you're not in the K-pop Twitter, there is a change to get those in your dms. And I Reported & Blocked that account, you should too of you receive shit like that. Stay safe.

I went to one of the post to report it and then later block it but as i was doing so, one of the post started auto playing and what I saw was TRULY HORRIFYING. Never watch any fancams that you come across on Twitter, KZbin, TikTok, Instagram etc just block and report. If you do wanna watch fancams tho, watch them from KZbin channels like Mnet or Sbs only. Also keep all your accounts private on all your social media platforms as some people are getting dms like 'what are you afraid of' etc. If you ever get one, just block and report but whatever you do, do NOT reply. We dont know who they are and what they are capable of. Please stay safe and stay away from these. They are truly traumatizing.

The most likely theory seems to me to be that a group of people on a small forum grew tired of seeing Fancams everywhere so in an effort to get them removed or suppressed to some degree they began posting fancams with gore interlaced in thereby forcing Twitter to lump innocent fancams in with the suspect ones.

I remember when I used to have Twitter, me and a mutual on there would go around and try to find these videos so we could try to get them taken down. I would end up watching them so I could explain what was wrong with them and why I was reporting them. Now that I look back on it I wish I never clicked play on them, I saw a lot of people suffer and it’s honestly just downright sickening to see. Honestly, Twitter has a bunch of weirdos, serial killer stans and these kpop gore people are definitely some of the worst people you can find.
