Investigating the Waters of this Abandoned CNJ RR Culvert

I've returned to Investigate the waters of the Abandoned CNJ RR Culvert. Earlier this year ‪@RevengeOfTheApocalypse‬ and myself explored a culvert that goes under an abandoned railyard. We discovered that on the other side was a pretty deep pocket of water that instantly drew my curiosity to it. So a few months later we've teamed up again to finally see what is beneath the surface and to see what else we might of missed.

Fantastic stuff Jay. I'm so glad you returned to this location. It's amazing how nature has made this dilapidated culvert home, never really given much thought about this. Nature seems to utilize what is available to it. I like the play of the sunlight through the water, it's almost hypnotic. Thanks for taking us all on this adventure, great job. 👍 🤙

That was so interesting! It's amazing to see how the concrete is eroding away making the shelves, unbelievable! Those were some good sized fish and lots of them too, that was fun to see! I just think the underwater footage is always so fascinating, no matter what you find, even looking at the different rock formations and so forth is so awesome! The water looked so clear and really refreshing too and it really is a beautiful place! Thank you JP, great video!

Nice water flow and so clear! It sure looked like it was refreshing and invigorating. You captured how the rebar and concrete was very corroded and eroded very well. I always enjoy the revisits especially to these kinds of places. My favorite part was at 26:45-27:20 That rippling effect was beautiful! All of the various minnows was a good sign of healthy water. All around really nice underwater explore! Luved the swim trunks 💦🌊💦 shout out to Alan

That second chunk of rebar looked more like a pry bar of some sort with the curved ends to it. That may be a leftover relic from the mining days in the area.

I really enjoyed the underwater footage. If there's fish, the water quality is decent. The water may have been more acidic at one time, causing the concrete erosion .

Great pictures and videos! Could feel the coolness of the water... Those cave crickets had crazy long antennae! 😳 I thought you might find more stuff in there, but glad you didn't. That means it's less polluted! Surprised to see that many fish though. Would be interesting to go back after a good rain and do an "after" video to today's "before"!
