Your 30091 is a newer model but it has an older production date (the Miyota movement is proof of that), the 40mm Pro Divers (like the 8928OB) are actually the earlier models, and they are still produced in large numbers, that's why the 30091/42mm models seem more rare, but they aren't really, they are produced in smaller numbers so they just sell out faster. The 30091 uses a 22mm bracelet, the OB has a 20mm bracelet. The bracelet quality isn't real great but what do you expect from a $60-$80 watch... I have brushed the polished middle part of my 8926OB bracelet, the all stainless steel model, all of a sudden it looks like a $300 watch lol! Invicta has used a lot of different movements in the past, including Swiss made like ETA, and Sellita too if I'm not mistaken, until the Swiss stopped providing them and Invicta started using the much cheaper SII NH35 with the custom branded yellow rotor, you will find that in almost every new automatic watch that they produce, even in the Pro Diver vintage 1953 that you mention, it has no date window, so it comes with a ghost date setting. At 16:31 you mention the second hand is a bit shorter, that's not true, the hands are the same, it's obviously because the 30091 has a larger case and dial (they fixed that on later production of the 42mm models, or at least on the ones that I own, the seconds hand is a tiny bit taller). The 30091 also has minute markers all around the bezel, like certified dive watches have, the 8928OB or the original Pro Diver 8925OB don't have that. About the boxes: they have been using different sizes for different watches, it depends on the size and model of the watch but they also simply use what's at hand at that particular moment, I've had similar models of Pro Diver and Speedway arrive in different boxes, ordered from official Invicta store, so it's no indication of the watch being fake. The smaller box is the newer one, it typically comes in a plastic sealed wrap whereas the larger more luxurious box comes within a cardboard box, they are cutting every possible corner to make production more cost effective. There are fake Invicta's out there though, but these are mainly the ugly oversized, more expensive and collab models, you can find em online at various Chinese webshops, haven't seen those on Amazon (yet). One thing you point out, the crooked applied logo, that's typical Invicta: lack of quality control, period. I have returned many genuine Invicta's for misaligned bezels, stains in the crystal, crooked cyclops, you name it... I could write another chapter on this brand/model, I've been collecting for many many years and own 100+ watches including about a dozen of Invictas, but this about sums it up for the Invicta Pro Diver.

Honestly the jubilee bands do them so much justice, they make the invicta look a little more nicer. The main differences are case size and dial. The tip of the second hand is different between the two. The diametre size of the hour markers are larger also. You also have to pull the crown out ONE click for date change and 2 clicks for time change. Nh35a is unbranded.

21:01 you are returning a watch that you have worn for a couple of weeks? Wow. I bet the next owner will be very pleased to find scratches on his 'brand new' watch. Happened to me when I bought a Seiko SKX at Amazon, I discovered it too late to return it.
@onewatchjustisntenough2 жыл бұрын
The reason why the watch with the yellow rotor moves less it's because the spring is already completely wound up. If you let the watch dye you will see that the rotors spins a lot more freely. It's basically telling you that the watch is fully wound up and it doesn't need to keep moving that much because there's no more winding capability. The other spind more freely because it doesn't matter of it it's fully wound or not. It just won't charge the spring anymore
@to2055 Жыл бұрын
The Seiko movement is winding in both directions while the Miyota movement is winding only in one direction and spinning freely in the other. Has got nothing to do with being fully wound.

The crystal is very scratch resistant, I haven't seen any scratches yet, but the band does pick up some minor scratches, but so does any other watch. It's normal.

Good review, I have the both watches and plus a quartz model of the blue and gold one and also Rolex with gold and blue color! Being honest is that! Who cares about the brand as you mentioned correctly, It’s very similar to Rolex and you don’t have be worry about scratches! Plus it’s a fantastic watch, I am a cheap watch collector and have more than twenty Invicta watches and all of them are fantastic!with this price range you can not get a ugly SEIKO 5 which recently has a very bad quality bracelet! So enjoy your Invicta

@@spacemsh I love it. It looks amazing for the price and it doesn't feel bulky or uncomfortable. The best thing is that I don't have to worry too much about scratching it cause it only set me back about $80. I was going to use it while I get my Tag Heuer repaired, but I might just keep wearing it for a long while. Thanks for the video. It's was here that I found out about it.

I picked one up today as well. My pendulum is also yellow. It is a 24 jewel movement. I noticed the silver pendulum model in the video has a 21 jewel movement. It is a Miyota movement. Still the Seiko NH-35A movement in the 30091 models we have.

Actually it’s the people who say that only douchebags wear Invicta who are the douchebags. The Pro Diver is a 200 meter dive watch with a Seiko NH35 movement for 80 to 90 bucks that’s on par with watches that cost 3 to 4 times as much! The bracelet on it is definitely better than the Seiko factory bracelet that came on my 300 dollar SKX!

Really? Although the watch is decent I think the bracelet is junk
@pacovl464 ай бұрын
@tomcox22 what's bad about the bracelet? It's completely solid with a clasp that does the job. The jubilee bracelet that came on my SKX is junk because the third and fifth row are just bent "rings" of which the one next to the spring bar wasn't strong enough to cope with rhe weight of the watch and gave way. So I had to bring it to my watch guy to bend it back in shape in monthly intervals. I've since switched to Nato straps and never looked back. I wear my Invictas on the metal bracelets they came with, though. I have absolutely no complaints about them. Both of them arw oyster style bracelets, though. So, I can't speak for their jubilee bracelets. Which one do you have and when did you buy the watch? I bought both of mine in 2021.
