I love the songs of INXS & be it the 70's 80's or 90's they would have been a successful act for sure. Timeless band. Exciting to see Madison Square Garden rocking in April as both The Knicks & Rangers are looking good in early playoff games & Juan Soto is killing it for Da Yankees !

hey david. yeh i feel like a lotta people have kinda forgotten about INXS. they dont come up much these days. like i never see them mentioned when everyone argues about the rock hall of fame. but they were a great band. i dont follow any NY teams but good to hear theyre playing well. NYC loves those Knicks and it would be incredible to see that ship righted finally.

This is great. We'd love to share this on our channel and send links back to you. We've got a petition to have INXS nominated and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

that’s fine. i’ve mentioned to a few people how it’s crazy that every year when people start arguing about bands that got overlooked by rock hall of fame INXS never seems to get mentioned. silly they haven’t been inducted yet. thanks for watching.

Yeah, I've been to Australia twice when I worked in the airline business but only Sydney. I remember the Shabooh Shoobah album when I worked in the record store. I always liked The One Thing. Never Tear Us Apart and Suicide Blonde were also favorites of mine. I remember putting all those songs on cassette tapes for my car back in the day. I think I borrowed them because I never owned any INXS CDs until the mid 2000's when I got a them for a $1.00.

Hi Steve - I only have two LPs: The Swing and Listen Like Thieves. In the past, I had maybe 4 or 5 CDs, but I have no idea what happened to them. I haven't heard anything after Kick, apart from Suicide Blonde. Nice collection 🙃

Great choice of artists to showcase, Steve! INXS Is one of my favorite 80 bands by far! Michael Hutchence is one of the best front men in the biz! R.I.P. He was out there though.

Steve, The One Thing is the first Inxs song that I had ever heard. I own an old 45 of it and MTV played that song a lot when I was a kid.

@@STEVEHEROLD my neighborhood didn’t get wired for cable until 1984, but we only had cable when a good deal was offered. I had a lot of neighbors had cable and I would go over to their houses when we didn’t have MTV.

Great one Steve! I only currently have listen like thieves but had when I was a kid the swing and kick which unfortunately I lost somewhere along the way. Definitely one of my favorite bands in the 80’s and so sad what happened to Michael Hutchence. You summarized well i think what happened with the band after Mikes passing, very confusing and not much desire for me to pursue post Mike releases.

hey shawn. thanks for tuning in. good to hear from ya. yeh i think someone else suggested after Hutchence passed away and the band tried carrying on they prob shouldve renamed the band. Not that they had to but maybe it mightve been a little easier for them to continue.

INXS is my favorite band. Their first two albums are INXS (1980) and UNDERNEATH THE COLOURS (1981). Both were not originally released in the US, but they did get a US release in 1984 after the success of SHABOOH SHOOBAH.

hey daniel thanks for tuning in. i gotta keep my eye out for those. i feel like there’s a good chance i’d like them more than their last one or two albums. did they also have some singles at the beginning that never were officially on a full album?

@@STEVEHEROLD The songs on their first single, “Simple Simon” b/w “We Are The Vegetables” (May 1980), were not on their debut album. But both songs were later put on a 1982 compilation album called INXSIVE that compiled singles, b-sides, and album tracks from 1980-1982.
