When it rained or stormed I was able to pick this up in West Philadelphia! I spent a week that summer at my Grandmom's in Brooklyn and what I remember most was Ministry's Over the Shoulder video. Then when I came to FDU that fall I didn't have a TV but watched whenever I could on friend's TVs. Then the damn Home Shopping! Odyssey from Florida in Vineland NJ was also good. I have a letter from U68 in response to my fan letter!

Great grabs, Steve! Finding great clean records at Goodwill is rare these days. That’s a great Pretenders album. Melanie is often overlooked. She a great songwriter and has a beautiful voice. Nice one. Great values! Great music! Before this video 2XL meant the size of my boxer briefs 😂. That’s a cool 😎 robot 🤖. What does 2XL say when you ask it a question about Churros? 😂

Glad the record arrived safely. What a find in a store that sells pokemon cards. I think I remember the 7in shared songs with 12in record you sent. The packaging on 7in is great. I checked out that ShaunSpins channel, person post infrequently.

@@greenalishi222 yeh SST just such a goof. That’s interesting about Melanie. Makes me wanna go read up on her. And agree she does have a cool voice. I heard “Lay Down” when I visited Athens few months ago, didn’t know the song or that it was her. Instantly looked it up and was surprised to see who sang it. Need to dive a bit into her stuff. Thanks for insight.

I've discovered a lot of great alternative and punk bands thanks to watching Shaun's channel. I'm always impressed by the amount of work and production value in his videos. I should have learned quite a bit from him by now, but I still just get up in front of the camera and bore my worldwide audience. Great single! Shaun is a great guy.

That robot! He needs to meet Colton. I have my original copy of that Pretenders album. Abacab…I have that too. Look up a live version of Dodo. It’s pretty decent. “Sorry it’s not vinyl, some of you might have got excited.” Minutemen were great. I had a couple on cassette that I recorded from a friend’s LPs in the late 80s but they’re long gone. ✌️

I think 2 - XL should be a permanent guest host! It was definitely a case of being in the right place at the right time. I haven't had a score at a Goodwill like that in years. Those albums look so clean. It's rare to find that CD at any location.

Hi Steve. I have a soft spot for Barbra Streisand. Some nice clean finds from the Goodwill - especially The Pretenders, Melanie and The Beach Boys. Patience is a virtue. The Minutemen CD is an amazing find too, especially brand new sealed. I paused the video to look at prices for it on eBay etc before you then mentioned eBay. I used to think all of the SST catalogue remained in print all the time, but I was clearly wrong.

Usually stuff like that all comes together, because 99% of the time it's Barry Manilow, Big Band, Jim Reeves etc. Some of the best vinyl finds I've made at goodwill are Hair of the Dog - Nazareth Screaming For Vengeance - Judas Priest and Eat to the Beat - Blondie I'm kinda with you on The Pretenders, except I do think Learn To Crawl is a great album... otherwise I'm good with a greatest hits
