In 1993 I was all over the shop. I just left school and was deep into drugs and fucked up toxic relationships. The lines "All these scars are mine" and "I was thinking. I was feeling. The gift you gave was gonna last forever." gave me a sort of awakening I really didn't acknowledge until later but did set a course for a more positive direction in my life. If those lines meant something to you - especially the scars line - then you'll know what I'm saying. Lessons learned. Accept and move on. Thank you, Michael.

I was in the studio next door when they were making this video at Alexandria in Sydney, i was cooking the chicken for a KFC commercial, as a 16 year old, in the studio next door. We got invited in to see Micheal Hutchence getting make-up and filming the face-removing scenes. He just looked at me as they put make-up on his face. Wow, i could hardly beleive my luck to get so close!! Deni Hines was there too, she said hello.

Well, good for u. I met him in early 1990, coming out of the Connaught building in Liverpool St across from Hyde Park. Stopped for around 7-10 mins for a chat as he was on his way to visit a friend in the adjacent Elizabeth St. You would had probably been there too when Deni Hines (as u mentioned that u had saw her and she had a chat), while she was first dating / engaged to Kirk Pengilly in the band, at the time. Kirk Pengilly is now married to Layne Beachley (7 x World Championship Women's surfer). Since 2010 they've been married.

@AchtungBaby772 жыл бұрын
Aussie talent *was* good - that seems to have been lost. In the 80s and 90s, Australia was producing unbelievably good rock music (Icehouse, INXS, Noiseworks, Midnight Oil, AC/DC... the list goes on and on and on.)

@@AchtungBaby77 no way we still got amazing artists screaming jets still recorde and tour and Dave also fronts for "the angel" both still blow roofs off, Gleeson is absolute dude and just has a ball and ya see how relaxed and enjoyable his preforming is now. Gone the days of the boozed up rock stars like Jimmy Barnes and Dave in the day, but Barnes way a different level of drinking catho hill pub was crazy show I seen him do two bottles of vodka on stage god know what drank before it. After sing he was so passed he decided to climb bus he end up falling off into shrubs on the cliff face luck he didn't die then. Daniel John's is back sounds good and looks good again. New album and few years ago he done two amazing songs with rapper 360 "purple waterfall". And John butler still going hard as ever. Parkway drive, birds of Tokyo, Jett, sticky fingers, tash sultanor she amazing she a one chick band fuck she can play guitar. There is soooo many good artists. But young people to day like the 3chored mass produced nonsense on top 40. And anyone out of Australia don't understand the Aussie struggles and way we come together when shit hits the fan. Americans think coz there racists and spiteful and care for money not its people, apparently we are also just like them. And we are nothing like them not say racists shit don't happen coz it dose, but there ignorance and values are very few and far. Americans view and backwards thinking is spilling into young Aussies my kids age 10 to 16 year olds watching all these American shows and social media. Coronal riots was a bad time for Aussie's, Americans made Lebanese and Muslims people into the backpack goes boom boom terrorist there not. But young Aussie man eat the information with no question. Now add 45 degree heat and beers on the beach. And shit was just bubbling under the surface. And all it took was the Arabia guy to bash a young life guard, that was it fuses was lit and there was no turning back. Text messages was instantly gone out and this was before social media color screen still weren't out yet. It said ozzie ozzie grab ya booze get on the train and let's take back our beach if ya won't fight stay home. I was working in St Mary's scaffolding when the text hit and so did all my scaffolders 50000 plus turn up it was crazy the poor Muslims didn't deserve any of the racists hatred Americans bestowed on them. There's still a bit of a stain with Lebanese and Aussie's, American done to the Muslims what Americans done to the black people in there country, we just didn't make people slaves
