It,s almost impossible to imagine just how much bigger INXS would have become over the years since beautiful Michael,s passing...!! I know that their music would have evolved into something so special , and this video and song proved just how talented, and forward thinking musically they were ! This track is relevant even in 2023 !!!! Always a special treat, and so was Michael !!!!

Haven't heard this in a long time. Still stands up. Quite a different sound for INXS. Blew me away on first hearing. Was travelling light around Europe at the time so I'd just play it on any juke box at any bar/pub. I remember reading Hutchence wanted to move away from their funk rock sound to something harder. His band mates weren't too keen, I read, but were willing to experiment. Heard Hutch was impressed with indie bands like Nirvana. The Gift is nothing like Nirvana but it's certainly a different direction for INXS and it really punches. My musically gifted girlfriend at the time couldn't see why i liked this song, she kept that to herself, but i could tell. My mates thought INXS were naff ( not good) so i was kind of a closet fan. Years later, after Michael had passed, they started to come around to INXS, especially the early albums, which seem to get better with time. RIP Hutch, you left us wanting more.

OMG! THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING HD REMASTERED VIDEO! It's my favorite INXS Video! This is the first time I've ever seen or heard this SONG! I grew up in love with INXS, i just didn't have access to Internet or cable back then. I truly thought I was watching a new video that someone edited old videos of Michael into. All of the effects were created by hand and with what used to be known as a "video toaster", which was a very early digital graphic art tool that could be used to manipulate images and animate them. I think that there were very early Photoshop tools then that might have been utilized, as well, to layer film shots and still images. So, yeah, VERY impressive and way ahead of its time, in 1994. And this song is a powerhouse, on so many levels, I agree.
