3 times I've cried watching this. A 35 yo man, feeling trapped in the rat race. The 1st time, I'll admit, was colored with envy. The 2nd time, I cried because it was all just so beautiful and pure (Alaska, the people, Iohan himself and his journey). The 3rd, well.. I just broke apart.. It all came together crashing at me, the beauty of it all and the sadness of my state. I live in a tiny tiny land that's one of the most populated on the planet. I'll try and get inspiration from this video and others.. I'll find a way, I just know the open road awaits me. Peace and love to everyone, Eitan from Israel ♥

I went to visit my brother and his family who lives in Anchorage, Alaska in the summer of 2015. I travelled from Trinidad in the Caribbean to New York then on to Las Vegas from there to Denver, Colorado and finally to Anchorage Alaska. I spent two weeks there exploring the wonders of this magnificent and beautiful wild and untamed place. My return home took me from Anchorage to Seattle, Washington then to Dallas, Texas where I took a flight back home to Trinidad in the West Indies. This was by far the greatest adventure of my life.

Fantastic video! I love when you talked about the difficult weather you had to go through. "If this is part of Alaska, then this is what I wanted to see" - something along those lines. It reminds me of some of the journey's and trips I have taken. I once traveled over 1,500 miles (probably not alot for you) to see Monument Valley in Utah, and got caught in a snow storm for a couple days. I was dissapointed... but if that is part of what Monument Valley is like, then that is what I wanted to see. Your words have given me a whole new perspective, and maybe one day we will run into each other on our journeys! If you ever have some free time, check out my videos!

I've gone on trips, and been camping, but never to the extent that you have. I aspire to do what you do someday, and I wish you good luck on the rest of your journey through the Americas! Awesome footage of Alaska. "The Land Of The Midnight Sun" My second home Fairbanks,Alaska 1945- 1957 went back state side after my fathers accident. Only to return in 2005 and lots of thing changed after it became a State. Being the 49 State.

The background music really affects me. My first long distance biking is when I'm 19 years old here in Manila, Philippines going to Matnog,Sorsogon. The roads were not yet pavement rather is still off-road and really steep. I almost gave up on that 700Kilometer/5day journey. Thanks for sharing this kind of adventure.
