Hi Iohan...you are unbeleivable...I guess now you are in Panama and good luck in your travel. I am from Colombia. In case you have any questions. As I understand there is no road from Panama to Colombia. So you have to take a boat from Pana to Colombias' Golfo de Morrosquillo people is really nice there you just need to keep sharp and be smart. Colombia loves cycling so most likely many people will be ready to assist you. Don't be afraid. Close to Cartagena is Santa Marta and there is a tall beatiful peak, teh 'Sierra Nevada de Santamarta' don't miss it. I wish I could be travelling with you. I am in Canada.

Rainy season would have been much worse than the dry season heat. Costa Rica is a great place to visit. Really nice people. At the time were you aware that the rivers have large crocodiles? One thing about sneaking into a closed volcanic area where the surrounding vegetation is dead, it usually means invisible deadly gases.
@IohanGueorguiev5 жыл бұрын
didnt know about the crocodiles, haha. Good point for the volcano too... maybe that is why the rangers yelled at me :( glad you like the videos and love seeing your comments starting from episode 1!
@lavapix5 жыл бұрын
@@IohanGueorguiev Hey, you do find time to read some comments :-) Much of what you did in the US and Canada I did back in the 80s but, via an old 79 Mustang and hiking. Its been great following your adventure in many of the same areas. I wanted to drive all the way to Patagonia but, there was that nasty little Sandinista war going on in Central America back then. Anyway, your videos are great and I'm glad you're able to do an extended adventure like this. You'll never regret it. Next time pick up the proper gas mask for active volcanoes :-)

Oh costa rica was hard, low on money and mostly avena en polvo (oatmeal powder) with a big soup meal at the end of the day. The people near that horse drinking beer gave me some money which i later realized was like $50usd and that got me through the rest of costa rica :)

Actually, I went to one hoping I can talk my way into paying the "fee for locals" but they waved me through once they saw the bike. Paying the normal fee is fine, it's just a little unfair to all tourists to be charged 10-15 times more. cheers! i was born in bulgaria but never been over the Danube!

Awesome video Costa Rica! I wonder how long can stay in wild area for cyclist traveler!? basically there has no store to buy everything, such food , water and gasoline
@IohanGueorguiev8 жыл бұрын
it depends on a lot of things, such as how often do you need to lift or carry your bike... The longest I have done is 12 days without stores or towns (and the last 9 of which had absolutely nothing). You can definitely carry 20-30days or more if you are on roads, but it's unlikely you would need to do that since roads have some towns.
