It looks like Apple just wait for what androids done for years ie widgets and scenes and then gradually bring it In and permit it for iOS. Same for the AI features, the writing feature looks like what the app /keyboard Grammarly used to do. The email summaries and HQ transcripts etc are already part of other services afaik. So they’re not doing the development side of things but imbedding the innovation of others. The hide and development thing & also the memory movie are cool.

It may be the amount of ram, I believe it requires a minimum of 8gb to use apple intelligence which only the iphone 15 and up have.

I’m not blaming you but on any given year if you’re concerned about having the latest and greatest, I’d recommend waiting until WWDC (June) to see what software features you’re interested in, and September for the latest iPhone hardware. In the Siri and Apple Intelligence menu under settings, there will be an option to join the waitlist. Click on that, and within an hour you’ll be approved and it will install.

Apple intelligence is deeply underwhelming. I would not recommend anyone buy a new phone for this. Hopefully 18.2 is worth it. Siri is still terrible. The writing help is actually bad. Maybe if you are a terrible writer it will help you but I found it adding emotion I didn’t intend and mixing up nuanced meaning.

Now they can tape conversation but by law they need to let you know that they are taping the conversation and ask if is ok with you. At least is like that in this State. Looks ok otherwise. For those that have a Costco membership you can go to any Costco and have a hearing test free of Charge and is done it the correct setting to make sure that you are tested correctly. Just make an appointment.

@@DavidAdeniran-z4s you have to go to settings > Apple Intelligence and join the wait list. After you get a notification that you’re ready to use AI, you will be able to use AI, phone recording and erasing objects from photos such as clean up. Hope this helps
