Battery’s good, until you use the AI features. They drain the battery. If you modestly use them like I do, it is comparable battery life to iOS 18.1!

At least we know that the other features are available for all the phones, except the older ones. I still hope they fix the touchscreen issues, though-I’m still having trouble with it. But overall, it looks really nice, and I can’t wait to make my own emojis!

ur fault for getting the iphone 14 but it does come with logic, i would also feel ripped off if the iphone 17 comes out with features the base model iphone 16 cant "handle" but also incase u didnt know, my iphone 16 took 16 gigabytes of storage space just to download ios 18.2 beta 2 so id say thats definitely a reason why older iphones cant handle it since it uses deadass probably 32 gb in space for solely the full ios 18.4 by the time its spring 2024

cuz u cant just skip out on a whole ios update, youll probably only get the security/privacy features every year since ios 19/20/21/22 gonna expand the ai into a whole other stratosphere

also they cant get the features mainly because of storage, every beta thats come out adds 7 gigabytes to the phones storage meaning ios 18.2 beta 2 on an older iphone would somehow need 3 more gigabytes of ram and 24 extra gigabytes for storage so obviously it wouldnt work. also rn the full scale smart siri isnt out until ios 18.4 so even then, ask urself if ur phone has 40 gigabytes of extra storage space before whining.

No. My iPad Mini 6 has the 18.2 beta 2 update and it has no AI. It will only be coming to the devices Apple already told us it’s coming to. Which is the iPhone 15Pros and the 16s. No older devices will ever get AI.

ios 18.4 is subjected to use 40 gigabytes of storage space and atleast needs 8 gigabytes of ram to run properly, it even lags on my new iphone 16 and im on ios 18.2 beta 2 so yeah ask urself if any of the older iphones meet those requirements and also the fact that every year the updates will take on more n more storage until a phones deadass 99% storage is ios 28 or som and it starts at 1 terabyte of space
