Awesome trip on Iowa I-80! I’m around a half to a full mile north of I-80 at Newton and whenever I’d be sitting outside at home, I can hear people sometimes when their front wheels touches the shoulder rumble strips on the highway and hear all the truck traffic as well especially on an day or night without wind.

i love this whole series. i mute the video and put two music tracks on loop (an ending (ascent) by brian eno and a remix of it by soft spok3n) and just chill with snacks and drinks. super relaxing.

Hi ! I watched this video last nite, I started it at 11:00 pm, and got Done at 3:30 am this morning , I am from and live in Iowa, I been 2 alot of places on Eastern I80 and Middle iowa to des Moines, but never was West of des Moines. As a kid in the Early 70's now and then we had to go out close 2 des Moines and when us Kids got Antsy, Mom would say ' Get a piece of paper and start counting Semi Trucks, that brought back Alot of memories, and last nite I started counting Semis at the Tiffin Iowa area on the Video to Omaha, and i counted 2044 Semis , i loved the video, Have you done any videos out in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and Maryland ? I was out in them states with a Friend hauling cattle up To Minnesota in 1988, of course Cell phones and video cameras was not within my pocketbooks Range,

there are sections of i-80 through Iowa that are absolutely HORRIFIC... most are west of Des Moines heading to Council Bluffs

@@SlowedByCinnamxn it's mostly the bridge decks now when you hit them at 70-80 mph, then look at the broken shoulders/breakdown lanes and the massive holes that have developed and cringe hoping you don't hit any of those... the IOWA DOT has done much repaving this year between Des Moines and the I-880 exit... but they have left the bridges for later or never gonna fix them in a timely fashion... Nebraska I-80 also has major issues

@@efil4kizum Dude I agree! I-80 for some reason definitely has better maintenance EAST of Des Moines, but the state has been really slow at making road repairs, repaving, and bridge replacements WEST of Des Moines until the Omaha area.

@@SlowedByCinnamxn i know they spent a long while around Iowa City and the Cedar Rapids exit 380? i forget what it is lol... and now the big project around Des Moines at both mixmasters. They finally completed the big project in Council Bluffs on I-29 and I-480 into Omaha

@@efil4kizum Wait, they're done on the I-29/480 Interchange already? Awesome. I do know that the I-80/380 Interchange was complete since August 2023.
