For Iowa, like what was said at 28:26 mark, Iowa will punt to pin, have Neb punt just so that they are better field possession to work for the field goal or little drive to get a TD. The stat was, first 75 plus yard drive since 2021. They do not play the long game they play to pin and next possession to score. They are okay with relying on Tory and that defense which I am okay with too.

Have to disagree somewhat about saying Cade would have made it easier on the wr's, ie for them to gave easier balls to catch...... Why do i disagree? Simple. He over threw and underthrew wr's week in and week out. On paper, before the season started, your comment is something id agree with. But, its a fact that Cade didnt play well at any game he started for Iowa. His numbers were not good at all, Petras 2.0. Deacon against the Illini was the best QB play for iowa in 3or4years. He looked good, not great, but good. Ill take a good version of Hill over the version of Cade we saw for the first part of the year. Hill isnt lighting the world on fire by anymeans, but we didnt get the version of Cade that played for UM either. Cades potential or past shouldn't trump his performances for Iowa. Cades overthrows, underthrows and lack of mobility is what landed us in 131 out of 131 teams in total offense when he started for us. Neither qb is great, and i am not putting Deacon on a thrown

McNamara had a quad injury and was playing with same. Meaning he didn't have his legs stable under him for balanced throws.

Cade was not healthy, and hadn't practiced much all year... after being out last year. Like Deacon has, as Cade saw the field more he would have developed a rhythm he hadn't had a chance to do yet. Deacon has been serviceable, but there was a reason Cade was set to start.

i would take Iowa's last 25 years of football over 90 percent of the programs in the country, I know Nebraska fans think they are elite, but they are included in that 25 years
