The hands and arms are perfect, your leg work need some serious help. Think about the leg you are standing on as a wrist grab by stepping on your opponents foot, then you use your kicking leg to kick the outside of the leg, this would be like lap da with the hands. Switch stance and kicking leg to the inside of the opponents leg this is like pak da, switch stance and leg to inside of other opponents leg this is like bil sau, then switch stance and kicking leg to outside of opponents leg lap da and you are on the other side. The movements of the legs follow the movements of the hands. Personally I learned it the same way you are practicing and it's correct, but I like this better. I didn't like disruptive stepping when I'm using dynamic hand work dynamic footwork seemed to be the answer.

I study Wing Chun version IWCO. The wooden dummy form is not taught. But, some elements from the wooden dummy form I was taught in the form of an "8 kicks" Chow Tze Chuena. Basically - it 13 kicks in Wing Chun kung fu. It is very interesting to look at how I kicked the dummy.

Every wooden dummy video I watch is a little different than the other. I have been trying to find a video that matches the way it is taught in the book - 116 Wooden Dummy Techniques by Dr. Leung Ting. I see videos that claim to teach it the way Ip Man taught it, but then they all do something different. It's confusing and irritating.

Steady Buzzard Gaming well it wasn't really just teaching different students differently, grandmaster Ip Man taught for a long time and would change and update the whole system of Wing chun throughout the years so a student from when he first taught would know a completely different sequence in say a five year difference. Even grandmaster Leung ting changes the system once in a while
