Hi! Homework: The most difficult sound for me is th (θ). For example when I pronounce "the child", Google writes "do child" but sometimes I do it well. Thanks a lot for the good job you're doing!
@receivedSE4 жыл бұрын
The letter "th" can be pronounced as /θ/ or /ð/. These sounds can be found in Literary Arabic or the language of the Koran: tsalaatsa or dzaalika respectively.
@Annie-wu3nu3 жыл бұрын
hey i dont mean to correct you but since you are obviously concerned with perfecting your english i just wanted to point out to stop that when you said sometimes you do it good, you should have said that sometimes you do it well. well is an adverb and good is an adjective which means that good modifies a noun and well modifies a verb

Alors que dans le dictionnaire Cambridge autant pour l’accent britannique qu’américain, IPA , la transcription est indiqué par un a long et le symbole est a:. Comment il se fait que vous appelez IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) et qu’on retrouve des symboles différents selon l’enseignant???? RP has a lot more vocal phonemes (ɒ, ʌ, etc...), many diphtongs like əʊ in go (he read it right pronouncing the dipthong but said it contains the vowel /o/... that's inaccurate). That was like a brief introduction, with some faults/mistakes, but overall good enough I think.
