Hi. What is the brand for the replacement screen and where is it available?
@EA-kb9prАй бұрын
Mr. Meza, do you have a video showing how to change the battery? Thank you
@RichardMezaАй бұрын
I do not but you can get an idea from this video. To change out a battery on an iPad, the screen has to carefully be removed without breaking the screen.

Can you transfer the original home button?

Yes. You're supposed too. Otherwise the Touch ID fingerprint won't work anymore.

The course you are selling is for amateur DIY repair, right? Because the way you performed that repair... What you showed is not a repair you can sell, it's something that a friend can help you with for free. - It's 2023, use a hot plate set to 80c; - if the touchscreen is as cracked as this was, cover the touchscreen in some kind of tape to prevent glass shards flying everywhere; - instead of prying the glass which causes it to shatter you can use the hotplate, a little bit of alcohol and some black sticks and a slim metal opening pick; - use cutproof gloves to prevent injuries - cheap and effective; - !! avoid touching the LCD - it is very scratch prone and is hard to clean if you touch it - even if you do clean it, it's very hard to do it 100% without scratching or marking the LCD; - !! never cut ribbon cables connected to a battery powered device. You never know what lines you will short and what kind of damage you can cause. Even if the device is turned off, some power rails may still be on; - !! disconnect the battery BEFORE disconnecting other connector and connect the battery last after the repair; - clean the shards from the metal body and from the home button bracket and cable. When I say clean, I don't mean what you did in this video.... Use a metal scraper and get ALL the glue and glass from the edges of the housing. After that clean using alcohool and disposable cotton wipes. Look very carefully for shards. Even a tiny tiny glass shard can ruin your repair. If mounted on a bezel that still has old glue and shards the touchscreen may crack on it's own and you may blame the customer.... or it may crack when you press a little harder on it, etc.; - !! the home button bracket should not be glued with b7000 or similar adhesives . These adhesives will fail very quicky and the home button will start to rotate, move and be unable to press. You should use an adhesive that sets hard and you should glue the button while the touchscreen is out of the iPad. You should also use clamps to set the bracket while the adhesive is curing; - never use the included tape on iPad touchscreens for mounting. What is worse than using the included tape is what you did... you glued the iPad with tape and glue :))). Tape on top of glue... Anyhow... Just remove it.

Yea, im an Amatuer? I have owned a repair retail store for 10 1/2 yrs now. Look. Your "Preference" on how to repair things is your way. My "Preference" to do things is my way. That's the way it is. Its a PREFERENCE Not a matter of right and wrong how you claim it is. I have my style and you have your own style. Don't be a Hater either.

Pay $229 to buy another one or take it to a repair shop for $100? That's how much repair places charge for this model.
